I need recommendations for a clear adhesive that will glue glass to glass.
Personal recommendations only please. Not what you've heard or seen on the TV. Glue that you have personally used and it works.
Cyano won't do it, neither will Gorilla clear glue despite what it says on the bottle.

All suggestion will be grateful.

I used to use Araldite - it was a two-part epoxy adhesive and very effective - but I can't seem to find it now and you are right, the Gorilla clear doesn't work.

I know you say that you only want personal recommendations, but I am not well up on the best stuff personally, but there are some good recommendations on youtube and wiki.

ezvid has a few suggestions on youtube and wiki.ezvid online. Plus a load of others as well. Some seem independant and not pushing their own product etc.

In the process of making thin-sections of rocks for examination under microscopes, having sliced one surface flat, that was was then stuck on to a thick glass slide and the sample next ground to the required thickness, before having a glass cover slip glued over it.

Fairly confident that the adhesive was a variety of 'Araldite' of which the two components were mixed and placed in a vacuum chamber to remove air-bubbles before application to glass slide / sample.

This experience dates to around about the Hillsborough incident, so it's possible that new materials and techniques have evolved over the last thirty years.
Perhaps you have close to you, a university geology department or a lapidary specialist, whose brain you might pick ?

Used a version of araldite that I bought from LIDL, not tried it on glass though, only plastic.

Maybe Super glue might help.

Araldite is perfectly good for pretty much all adhesive jobs. When I was in the aviation industry, the aircraft monocoque was glues together using Araldite 2005, an incredibly strong adhesive.
But I need an adhesive that will cure transparent. I will check Youtube for their views too.

Thank you for all your suggestions.

My project is gluing pieces of sea glass to bottles to make lamps.
