To be honest Dusty, its been on MSE before without question. It was originally from the Laughter Room so I can't even claim it for my own - although it made me laugh out loud when I first read it. That said I have seen far more offensive posts.

As I see it, a Valentine's message was traditionally a subtle romantic gesture to entice the affections to one from another; even for the bashful or shy. With social media and modern texts developing a crude brevity of content that even sees vulgarity as standard, the rhyme (such as it is) pokes fun at the intent of the sender. Casting aside the need for subtlety the intent seems more important. That's why I saw the humour in the original as it seems others do too for this repeated post.

It isn't directed at anybody and it's not classed as spam or abuse. As such as a helper, I wouldn't choose to delete it, but I have no desire to cause offence. If another helper sees fit, I would have no objection to its removal.

Some might say it's in poor taste but even on that front, taste varies so broadly, where do you draw the line? MSE is an adult site which is open to all unless threats and bullying are used.
