i am a single [widower] dad of one,a daughter who lives with me. at the moment i am a support worker in Cardiff. i am interested in the arts especially music and have a very eclectic taste enjoy running to keep fit and watching football and rugby , but not fanatical.i am interested in politics and what makes people tick. dislike racists and bigots.

Cooking	enjoy cooking not too bad at basic dishes like italian indian and morrocan
Shopping	not a big fan of shopping use it in a purely practical way

Dining out	when i can afford it i love to dine out will try most food
Movies	dont go often but am particular about type of film i see dont like blockbusters . go for introspective or experimental types
Theatre	do like the theatre like pirandello s work and pina bausch dance works
Music	enjoy most 60s stuff especially beatles yardbirds kinks etc also some moden jazz dont like opera hip hop or much commercial pop
Gigs	go to live gigs sometimes like heavy metal ,folk, african, anything that makes me sit up and take notice
Pubs	like pubs not into really loud ones
Clubbing	dont do clubs
Newspapers and magazines	the "i", no magazines
Books	read a bit ,I like martin amis, jonathan coe etc some classics, sartre, zola etc
TV	like TV but pick carefully enjoy comedy like Blackadder, peep show ,dramas, documentaries.
Watching sport	football, rugby, athletics
Playing sport	I still run to keep fit,but not competitively now.
Hobbies	photography,reading, travel

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	id like to be in a stable interesting and trustworthy rellationship hope fully living on the coast
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	peter hammill [ singer songwriter ] tony benn, peter cook
My ideal date	either a "real" pub overlooking the sea or going for a meal at a mediterranean restaurant
What would I never, ever give up?	my liberty because everyone is a unique individual who makes life choices and provided i am able to make an informed choice then it should always be that way
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	music ,and its many forms that influence people
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	probably ancient greece because im facinated by the myths that grew out of that era and also love the greek people and their country
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	a humanitarian charity that works both here and abroad such as amnesty international
My "and finally" section ...	my dreams are quite realistic but there is no harm in fantasising about an ideal life . however its good to have your feet on the ground
