I'm a happy-go-lucky lady who likes to have fun. I work full time visiting schools and training. I've only recently become single after a 3 year relationship and was promted to re-visit this site after receiving an e-mail. I've met some lovely gentlemen previously but not that someone special. I have two grown up children, daughter 28 and son 26, both have flown the nest! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

I'm looking for friendship in the first instance, but would love to meet that someone special, who wouldn't? This was always such a friendly site, I'm sure nothing's changed.

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I used to cook a lot when I had a family at home but now it's just me I don't cook anything exciting. However, I love it if someone cooks for me!
Shopping	Love it if I'm in the mood and have the money! Especially nice when you're looking for something particular. That's not only clothing but also household - sometimes I think that's more enjoyable.
DIY	I'm very hands on and can turn my hand to most things. The only thing I draw the line at is the electric drill - it just scares me, sorry!
Housework	When the family were young I was obsessed which is such a shame looking back! I love my house to be clean and tidy, which it always is, but I don't worry if I miss a week of dusting and polishing, would much rather be out enjoying myself. The housework will always be there another day!
Dining out	Love eating out, who doesn't? Love all sorts of food and only discovered the joys of Indian food once I'd turned 50!
Movies	I go through phases - several times in a few months and then I don't go again for months on end, but I do enjoy the cinema.
Theatre	Also love the theatre but don't go any where nearas often as I'd like to. I've seen most of the big London shows but considering how close I live to Stratford Theatre I'm ashamed to say I can't remember the last time I went.
Music	Very varied taste in music from pop and classical to a little bit of opera. I'm afraid I don't like country and western though.
Gigs	I love live music. I go to the Warwick Castle concerts every year and have seen everyone from Tom Jones to Olly Murs. This year it's Jessie J! When I was younger I saw loads of amazing groups including the Who and the Stones.
Pubs	Visit pubs and bars frequently with friends. Champagne or sparkling wine are amongst my favourites as well as vodka or pimms. Also like a beer or cider when it's hot and sunny - haven't had either of those of late!
Clubbing	Until a few years ago definately! Only go to the Assembly now though and even then only if it's for a younger friends celebration!
Newspapers and magazines	Don't read newspapers as they are full of depressing news! Prefer a good book to a magazine but will flick through them when given the opportunity.
Books	I was recently given a Kindle and although I didn't think I'd like it, I love it! I like a "proper" read rather than Mills and Boon but have been known to read the latest crazes for an easy read. Most recently read the Girl with a Dragon Tattoo trilogy.
TV	I tend to record programmes and watch them when it suits rather than sit glued to the tv. Love nature, cooking and gardening programmes. Don't follow any soaps but love drama and anything to do with hospitals (but must be real not Casualty or Holby City).
Watching sport	Sorry, not a sport lover on tv. However, love watching it live whatever it is. The only sport I'll watch on tv is the London Marathon or the Great North Run.
Playing sport	I used to do a lot of running until my knees gave up :( Now I have to go walking instead which isn't quite the same but better than no exercise at all.
Hobbies	I love nature and like nothing better than going for long country walks listening to the birds, watching the ducks and swans and the lambs in the spring. I have loads of friends and most of my spare time is spent socialising with them. I also have two grown children who I'm lucky to have lovely relationships with. I see them as often as I can.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	I'd like to be in a loving relationship with someone special and someone who makes me feel special too.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	My mum, who passed away too suddenly 2 years ago. Jeremy Vine, from Radio 2, his conversation would be great and the man of my dreams, wherever he may be!
My ideal date	Probably a dinner date but any date would be nice.
What would I never, ever give up?	My girl friends.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Difficult one this one, I'll have to think about it!
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I'd love to visit Thailand because it's in a continent that I've not visited before. It's also supposed to be a beautiful country.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	I'd divide between children's and health charities. I particularly like to support Warwickshire and Northamptonshire air ambulance as they don't receive any government funding and our local Hospice.
