Hi, Recently retired (Hooray) was ships Captain, been at sea nigh on 50 years. Consider myself honest, caring and up for a few laughs. Due to wife's health it would be nice to meet someone for regular dating (when can) enjoy each others company.
Recently rehomed a lovely dog and enjoy the walks and socialising the dog along the way in the occasional hostelries on route.

A lady who, like myself, is upfront, honest and caring but also someone who likes to have fun and enjoy what life throws at us all.

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Love Asian food, but a good steak also takes some beating.
Shopping	Not too keen as always seem to end up with more than expected.
DIY	Pretty handy at DIY, might not be a masterpiece but gets the job done.
Housework	Done and do, but that's about it.
Dining out	Enjoy a good meal especially with good company.
Movies	Only for a good film that takes my fancy, otherwise easier to download these days.
Theatre	Quite often if/when time allows.
Music	Grew up listening to R.Stones/Cream/Led Zep/Who etc., been to see live many times, but nowadays they are all getting older & seem to always play live miles away if not Continents away.
Gigs	When get a chance and a good show, and here in Cornwall we don't often get the real thing, but enjoy when can.
Pubs	Like to visit a 'watering hole' when out walking with dog, he enjoys the company.
Clubbing	Those days long gone.
Newspapers and magazines	Fed up reading daily disasters.
Books	My kindle and I are rarely separated these days.
TV	Anything but soaps!
Watching sport	Enjoy watching a good game of rugby also F1, been to quite a few F1's and love it.
Playing sport	Days gone by..
Hobbies	Had a place down west mainly for some 'me' time. Family used as well. But recently not used much by myself or family. Hence sadly sold on.. But not all bad as have now new horizons to aim for..

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	Happy and with good health.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Jimmy Hendrix, Lewis Hamilton & King Henry VIII.... & Meg Ryan of course if room for one more!
My ideal date	Fun, laughs and pleasure in good company.
What would I never, ever give up?	Breathing.... As always 'glass half full'.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	To stop all the moaning and whining and enjoy what life has to offer.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	The Somme during WW1, just to really experience what they all had to go through and try and understand why this terrible part of our history ever took place and how all coped.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Non religious & non political..
