What are friends and friendship circles?

You can add other members to your circle of friends. This makes it much easier to meet new people, gain trust, see how trusted other people are, and much, much more!

What are mutual friends?

If you have a friendship link to another member and they have a friendship link to you, you are known as Mutual Friends. This is usually denoted with this icon: Mutual friends icon

How do I add someone as a friend?

Simply go to that person's profile page, and click "Add to friends".

Someone has added me to their circle of friends. What do I do?

You don't have to do anything, but site etiquette says you should add a friendship link to that person in return. If you do this you become Mutual Friends - and that's the name of the game! This icon: Mutual Friends indicates a Mutual Friendship link between two members.

If you do not know the person who has added you to their list of friends, you can always contact them and find out more about them before adding a Mutual Friendship link.

Your mutual friends is shown on your profile page and you are shown on their profile.

How do see who has added me as a friend?

To see whose circle of friends you are in:

  • log in
  • click "My friends" on the main menu
  • click "Whose circle of friends am I in?" near the bottom of the page

How do I remove a friendship link?

You can remove a friendship link between you and another member. To do this:

  • log in
  • click "My friends" on the main menu
  • hover over the picture of the friend you want to remove
  • on the popup which appears, click "Remove from friends"
