If you were choosing a new career today what would you consider?

I'd consider a gas boiler engineer, or a Dry Stoner Dyker.... not sure of the proper name for that one, maybe a stone mason or a dry waller.

I've always wanted to be a farmer, but not sure there is enough money in it now, as well as the amount of work you need to do.

Wouldn't mine being a car reviewer, getting all the new model of car to go out and use and critique them.

Just a lorry driving job, where they pay well enough to live and don't expect huge amounts of hours from you week in, week out.... Been busting my ass, pretty much non stop since March.... Not complaining, but would be nice to see a juicy big thank you, in the form or money from either my employer or that Sturge bitch!

If I was starting out I might go for a career in photography and preferably one where I travelled. My first choice would be photographing wild life but world events would be good too.

So many to choose from but some such as artist or sculptor need skills which I'm not sure I would be able to learn so I will opt for racing driver, preferably formula one.

"Maybe midwifery?"

Yes... When is the male only recruitment drive for midwifery?

I've been working wonders with my little nephew recently.... I might be a natural.

I would like to have trained in environmental issues and maybe travel overseas teaching this subject.

Then maybe a career as a nursery nurse woiuld suit you or a primary school teacher, Bob, but I don't see the need to make this thread political.

I've done some drystone walling before and quite enjoyed it, but I don't think I'd like doing it in bad weather.

Many of the others things I'd like to do I would need to be able to draw and do maths for, like garden design.

If I had the experience then that I do now, probably a teacher, the film 'To sir with love' had a big impact on me in my younger days.
Failing that and having a friend who was one up until retirement, a social worker.
