A slight change from the usual 'first record bought', what's the newest/latest piece of music you've bought? and say something about what made you buy it.

For me it was a cd, Purcell, Dido and Aeneas, after hearing some of it on the radio, Jessye Norman's rendition of 'When I am Laid in Earth' and it sounding so peaceful plus the write up about Purcell.
Yes, I know, I'm a miserable bugger sometimes.

Terry, John Charles wrote this, I listen to it frequently.

My late wife and I saw this film many years before she died in 2014 of Bowel cancer.

When we were both listening to this music, when she said to me, "this is death"....

I still buy CD's regularly.
Last one I bought was Poco-Greatest Hits
I wanted it for "Rose of Cimarron" a great track, but there was plenty more on it and only cost a few £'s from Music Magpie.

Poco were considered the forerunners of The Eagles but never got the same recognition.
The Eagles were always considered a quintessential west coast American band but in fact only one member was actually from California. Thomas B Schmit. There's a factoid.
He auditioned as the bassist for Poco but they chose Randy Meisner. When Meisner left Poco to join The Eagles, Schmit replaced him.
Then when Meisner later quit The Eagles, Schmit replaced him there.

Jeez, you got me there. It was probably "Veneno" by Anitta. It was when I was training with Sydney Charisse for a Brazilian Zouk dance solo...

Lara Fabian. I can't get enough of her singing. She sings in many languages but I particularly like her singing in French.

Haven't bought any for years and years....

Probably going back to Benny Hill and 'Ernie'

Not quite true......I used to buy loads of albums in the 70's....and loads of blank C90 cassettes.....Fit an album on each side....apart from things like Tubular Bells, where you had to miss a bit off.....or carry it on for a few minutes on the other side of the tape....

Trying to really think of the last thing I bought......It could have been Amy Macdonald....quite a few years ago now it seems...

Musical threads often have me googling the music others listen to.

"Street Worms" by Viagra Boys. One appreciates their sense of humour and exuberance.
