Have you ever done a search amongst the 'most popular' conversations? it's interesting to see how they've changed over the years

I sometimes look at those terry. All the most popular are games and quizzes which attracted a lot of attention. I'm sure these would keep the forum alive even during quiet times. The most popular of serious threads was one of Chiogs who seems to have disappeared now.

I hadn't look at them but it was interesting to see the type of threads. Very noticeable that there are no political threads amongst the most popular.
I'm sure there was more members on the first most popular thread than on the entire site now.

Wow 2000 posts, those were the days. lol

I spent time reminiscing yesterday looking back through my deleted personal messages.
I was surprised how much chatting I did behind the scenes with people, most of whom no longer post. It was certainly a trip down memory lane...

There's a match up one that I noticed......One of those 'suggest two MSE people to matchup' things.....

Some names long gone......but some current......

It could be worth resurrecting....as I'm not on it.....Free from embarassment etc....For me anyway.....Maybe not for others though....

It was only a bit of fun though....

It seems unbelievable that the site had enough active members to put 2000 posts on a thread.

I think those starting threads and those adding to threads are as good now as in the past but there are not enough members to keep threads going.

Sadly you are right, PNG.

And only about 10% of regular contributors, (or less than about 4 individuals), are comfortable writing more than a sentence or two ... and most members would balk at adding a paragraph or more.

Terry raises some interesting posts yet most die on the vine, abandoned by others, after no time at all.

Don't bitch about this place, (as a reader or occasional contributor), if you can't be arsed to contribute or add original posts to the mix yourself, I say. :-(

I wish the person who keeps ressurecting dead threads would stop, esepcially as they don't really add anything of value, dead thread just clutter the place up.

Terry starts threads on stuff that can't be turned into a political slanging match, that why they get so few posts.

Don't you blame it on sunshine
Don't blame it on moonlight
Don't blame it on good times
Blame it on the boogie

There was a lot of threads which involved songs and lyrics.
