For covid?
I have the NHS one but went for a meal yesterday and was informed there is another for hospitality???? I don't understand and obviously most people in the queue didn't either, lol so we all had to have our details written down by a member of staff

Bloody ridiculous Bob, I have actually been to town twice this year, yesterday being the second, did some shopping with Xmas gift cards from last Xmas and thought I, d pop in a cafe for food, to be met with oh the NHS app isn't for hospitality venues, if I hadn't been starving, knackered and carrying lots of shopping I, d of stomped out lol
Surely one app should do all,?

I only have the one NHS App and I've used it a lot at just about every type of venue including for hospitality and it's worked perfectly well and has the QR scanner. Previously, and still at some places, I give my name and mobile number.
Not encountered any problems yet.

There is a completely different app with NHS on it but it's not for the same purpose so perhaps you downloaded the wrong one.

So what's the other NHS one? I downloaded when getting my covid test as gov.uk advised me too?

I just checked my phone. One app says NHS on it and is for general NHS information but the app for track and trace says NHS Covid-19 on it.

Deleted it, lol I assume with new lockdown measures I won't be doing much eating out and if someone keeps their job by taking details down even better lol

I have had the app for a while now and so do my family and friends and it works perfectly well everywhere we have been and most of these have been in restaurants and coffee shops. No big deal though because if I didn't have the app I would just give name and phone number.

"Is this another conspiracy theory.....We all now need Apps.....otherwise......"

We will only need the app until we have all been injected.... Then we will need apps to prove we have been injected before we are granted any services from the government.

It used to be quite nice having lots of young ladies asking me for my name and phone number :) ... but alas I have simplified life with the app.

I don't have a phone, so I can't have apps. Luckily in this instance having no decent restaurants is an advantage.

There is ONLY ONE Official NHS Tracking App.

Hospitality, it seems from reports, would like you to use one which gives them access to your personal details so they can target advertising at you.

If they insist - go elsewhere.

I agree Trevor. There is always someone wants more information. Even buying a small item in Halfords brings a request for your email address. Just a sign of modern times but we don't have to join in if we prefer not to.
I've been using the NHS Covid 19 app successfully and it is completely anonymous as it should be.

We get criticised for coming up with conspiracy theories and things.....We are meant to be some sort of braindead zombies who just do everything we are told......

But strange things lurk........

Some conspiracy theories are real.....Very real....

I'm useless at anything technical and I'm not great at reading instructions but this has been very straightforward. I think euro has encountered one person or business wanting to do their own thing so I'm pleased it failed. I'm all for simplicity.
