Also it is like those times when you splash water in your face then realise you are still wearing glasses.

I went to B&Q today. I spent about 15 minutes in the shop and then went outside and bought a burger and coffee and sat in front of the shop for another hour waiting for a friend to finish some shopping.
During that time inside and outside B&Q not one single person entered without a mask. A couple turned up without masks and were given them by the guy in the door (I don't know if they were purchased or free). Then three noisy builders turned up messing around with shirts over their heads but even they put on face masks at the door.
Almost everyone wore straightforward blue masks but there was a few novelty ones and a handicapped girl had a complete face shield.
As customers came out hardly anyone rushed to take masks off and everything was very quiet and efficient.

I've been the same since Friday. A couple of days and its second nature already.

Black masks look like bandits. The trouble with robbing a bank though, is the electronic shutters would come down so fast they'd cut your fingers off.

But shop lifters would never recognised. Free speech would be easier, no one would know who made that rude comment about someone else.
