I noticed at the weekend I still have six old mobile phones in my "techie" drawer along with iPods and lots of wires and connectors.
How many mobile phones do you have? How many do you use?

None, my mum has one that I borrow on occaision, but I have only ever had about 5 and they've all been quite basic, living somewhere with no signal for the best part of 10 years made one useless and the tech moved on so fast in that time that I've never caught up with it.

Not having a signal where you live does make having a mobile less important lol.

I have always had simple phones. At the moment I have a Doro which has a biggish screen and big buttons. Very simple but very good. It's one of those folding phones.

I have two iPhones: the one I use regularly and another that I either take abroad or loan to overseas visitors plus a collection of basic phones from over the years. There must be at least five of those floating about the place. I’ve also given a few away.
I’ve tried to add up the total number of phones that I’ve owned. It must be at least a dozen which sounds a lot to me considering the fact that I’m not that interested in mobile phones.

I have two phones. An iPhone I use mainly when I'm at home and an old Nokia which I take everywhere.

I got about 4 old phones in a drawer. I really must get rid of them sometime.

Half... I don't use it as a phone only a GPS map for when I'm in an area I don't know.

I've probably got at least a dozen old phones kicking around somewhere. The phones I use are an iPhone for work, family and serious stuff. I have an older phone I use for chatting to friends and less important stuff. I also have an iPhone with no sim which I use as a camera.
I still have a landline too.

I have a drawer full of old phones, wires and connectors. I don't even know what half the connectors are for, but I am loath to throw them away in case I might need them one day

I regret not keeping my Motorola 4500x which was so heavy it came in a carrying case with a shoulder strap lol. I have a photo of it on my profile.

We have always recycled our old phones through charities that refurbish them, sell them and the money raised goes to the charity.

I have my 14 year old dumb Nokia. Before that I had my daughter's old phone, also a dumb Nokia almost identical to my current one. Strangely I have come across 3 or 4 other old mobiles in various drawers. I assume they were left by my kids when they left home many years ago.

In the early days when I had my first phone that is what a lot of people thought of anyone with two phones.

When the internet first came about you were viewed with suspicion being online and thought to be perving with sundry ladies.

I cracked the screen on my phone at the weekend so I took the sim card out and put it onto an old phone that I had spare. It works as good as the new one and I can't even remember why I changed it.

I keep a phone for a few years normally and liked the Sony Ericsson brand. Great pictures and performance but the usb became dodgy so I bought a a new Sony a bit more down market but it didn't work as well as my really old Sony so struggled on with it until a lower tech friend needed a new phone so she was delighted to get my new Sony, still under warranty for free and is still using it 2 years later.
I then bought a Nokia 6, again, not as upmarket as the original Sony E, so when my son, who had by this time adopted the brilliant but dodgy connection usb (been repaired 3 times by this time) failed again, I gave him my Nokia 6 and bought a Nokia 8, which does the job perfectly.
If there wasn't people needing my old phones I would normally keep one spare in case anyone needs one. Used to be my mum.

It would be useful if all phones used the same size sim card then you could use the old ones more easily.
