A few really heavy showers in Chilterns

We desperately need some rain here, nothing since about mid February so I was pleased this morning when we have a few really sharp showers, but the wind has picked up and its horrendous. It looks like snow with all the blossom flying around and the wi nd is very cold.

Whats its like round your way

Was sunny and windy here first thing this morning, then got cloudy around 11am, a couple of light showers around lunchtime, since then it's been windy, cold and cloudy, with a quick glimpse of the sun through gaps in the clouds. :-(
The BBC weather channel which is usually about right, doesn't forecast any rain for the next 10-14 days in Cambridgeshire.

We had some rain the night before last, but the wind has been awful, Fearn and I nearly got blown off our paws yesterday, at least it calmed down now. We have a fence thats come down and a few snapped twigs, but luckily thats all.

The past few days friends have been warning me of thunderstorms and I didn't bother to water the garden so I'll have to do some catching up.

no rain what is so desperately needed. Not so windly this Sunday as it was on Saturday. Then it was really windy with strong gusts. My pride - the wisteria - is now without most of the blossom. I hope we will have a shower or 2 tomorrow , but this part of Essex is notoriously lacking rain so I will be busy with the hose .

So hot here again today, I really want a bit of rain.. Our sprinklers will be on later as the lawns are getting quite brown.
