Llamas have been found to have two types of immune cells one thats bigger than ours and one thats much smaller and seem to be able to squeeze itself in between normal cells and virus cells. Research is ongoing and they hope to be able to create similar cells that will help humans who've not had CV19. Its all published in a journal called Cell, so if you goggle CV19 and llama it should come up.

But who'd've thought it? Llamas?

All sorts of medicines and cures have been discovered in the most unusual places but it's still amazing.

That would be ironic.

Humanity treats animals inhumanely, then we use more animals to potentially help the problem.

I sense nature has something worse for humanity further down the century.

Ahh well said Lyn, but I bet you'd be one of the first holding your grubby little mitts out for your share of the cure....

maybe...just maybe ?

"Moderna’s early-stage human trial produced Covid-19 antibodies in all 45 participants, the biotech firm said today.

Each trial participant received a dose of between 25 micrograms, 100 mcg or 250 mcg, CNBC reported. After a second dose antibodies were at levels comparable to people who have recovered from coronavirus, Moderna said."

Could be good its sounds promising, just have to see how long the antibodies stick around for and what sort of immunity they give.

Plenty of social distancing is called for.
