So what does the single person do on Valentine's Day?

Does one quietly ignore it, do a little DIY, or go out and paint the town red?

I have planned a nice cosy little dinner for two. I am going to feel so stuffed after eating two dinners.

Do you have anything planned for tomorrow?

I will go to a cosy restaurant and sit at a table by myself looking sad and holding a single rose.

Playing the sympathy card :)

I'm out with the Year 8s on a trip to the Eden Project. Looking forward to it. In the evening I'll be cooking a meal for one, maybe pop out for a wander and then I'll have an early night!

Wait for the lovely men on MAR to send me virtual flowers and if I'm lucky they might even throw in a bottle of
bubbly ;)

Love my partner, but he's gone home this afternoon and tomorrow, since my daughter is on half-term break, if she's well enough we're going to have lunch at Ikea Warrington and have a browse around. He might be looking at greenhouses or off to his local RSPB and that's fine.

Nope and glad I don't have to.
I always found V' Day stressful as I knew the other half did too and you end up trying so hard to please, to do something different but also complying with the commercial pressure of it all, that it invariably ended up going all "Pete Tong".
What's wrong with showing someone affection and say surprising them with gifts, treats, nights out etc all the rest of the year to show them you care rather than having to comply with everyone else, who's apparently loved up, by being expected to do what someone is telling you're expected to do and be compared to them or be considered a right git.

Whenever I have been in a relationship, I have always preferred a night in and make a nice meal together with a decent bottle of wine, rather than going out to a crowded restaurant for an especially hiked Valentine's day price and an indifferent meal. The thought of having to be romantic in the midst of all those other people pretending to be romantic always felt a bit too much for me.

Does make you wanna shove your fingers down your throat....

Go out before or after OR have a lovely evening in.....you don't even need to cook, most supermarkets do a special Valentine's meal deal....perfect !!!
