Who feels it knows it

When I think of you
Instantly elated
Instinctively elevated
Negative vibrations like dissipated
Deflated n disintegrated
When I think of you
Lika baby born new
Fresh
Out da blocks
Ready
To roll n rock
Tik tok it don’t stop
Sweet like lollipop
And feel it inna 1ne rass drop
When I think of you
Eternally grateful
Your energy faithful
And now ma cup, yes, it really is full
To overflowing
That Love bestowing
Deep beneath ma skin
Like to the core of my being
And here it begins
From within
Teet dem force fe skin
No dictations, expectations or explanations
Only salutations, appreciations n mind blowing celebrations
When I think of you
Lovely Loveliness
Adoration adoring yes
This is the bliss
This is the bless
This is the best
Heart pounding out ma chest
Where you reside n rest
Like totally nest
Inside of me
I’m da husband n your da bride of me
Sweetly
Neatly
And completely
Complete me
Sweet me
Greet n heat me
This flame burns
To the power of 1ne
Burning brighter than any sun
I will show my appreciation
When I think of you
Tell me now
When am I not thinking of you
Haahaaaaahaaaaaa

"That Love bestowing

"I've Got You Under My Skin" is perhaps my favourite song. (This is mainly due to Nelson Riddle's 1956 sublime arrangement rather than Cole Porter's 1936 lyrics and melody.)
But getting a loved one under your skin can be dangerous!
In 1992 I wrote the following song "Still With Me" imagining someone going mad thinking about the loss of their loved one:-

I feel sure that you're still with me,
I hear your voice in every sound:
Your tones as sweet as ever,
Your words light yet profound.
When I'm low you lift me to laughter.
When I'm hung-up you swing me to song.
They say that they're just echoes after.
But echoes don't last for so long.

They say that I've gone round the bend.
They say it's very sad.
But you are still the closest friend
That I ever had.

I feel sure that you're still with me
I see your look in every mood:
A smile, a frown, endeavour,
So kind, refined or rude!
When I'm lost you show me your vision,
When I'm beaten your wink makes me strong,
They say I should do the excision.
But for your expressions I long.

They say that I've gone round the bend.
They say it's very sad.
But you are still the closest friend
That I ever had.

I feel sure that you're still with me
I sense your presence everywhere:
Our hearts still beat together,
Our thoughts and views we share.
When I'm blind you tell me the other,
When I'm earless your tears say I'm wrong.
They say I must move to another.
But you'll be here all my life long.
Yes, you'll be here all my life long.

One of the best selling songs of all time, is about the same subject.
Mr Brightside by the Killers, in the UK top 100 for years.
Are you aware of this song Jeff?
Similar meaning in the lyrics to your song.
Mr Brightside covers all aspects of the subject, but with such powerful lyrics.
Ending with Mr Brightside, the recovery period, showing his bright side.

You went close there Jeff, a little bit of tweeking, and you could have written a similar song, and been famous!

Mr.Brightside is one of my favourite songs, but wasn't it about the insidious nature of jealousy rather than lost love?

I wasn't aware of the song Mr Brightside, but have just read its lyrics and watched a video of it.
Its subject, meaning, lyrics, structure and melody are completely different from mine, so it would take a lot of tweeking to become similar!

I have also written some rock songs, all I think much better than Mr Brightside, but sadly none published.

I'm now too idle, but try to give a whistle and not grumble, and hope I haven't missed a bright side of life.

Hi Cassis, Mr Brightside is about lost love, it covers many aspects including jealousy.
Its Brandon Flowers own story, set to rock music.
Jeff wrote a better songs than Mr Brightside?
Last time I checked Mr Brightside was number 81 in the charts, and charted for last 217 weeks.

Yes Rikco, Jeff writes rock songs, they are all better than Mr Brightside.
Just wondering what those songs are called?

A guess one would be called Mr FA, .

Maybe he did heavy metal, like Lemmy.
Also if you look through this thread, I managed to get Geoff to listen Mr Brightside.

One is called "Rock Rock Bye Bye Baby" (whose words and music were based on the ~1765 nursery rhyme Rock-a-bye Baby).

Another is called "Prisoner" about punk girls. My recording of that included a sample of a heavy-metal type guitar.

Lyrics on request.

I don't know who "Geoff" is.

Geoff wrote some songs too.
Lots of songs wrote about lost love, but everyone forgot to write about the uplifting part, the Brightside.
So The Killers end up with the big song.
All you need is to find the idea, the one everyone missed.
So like a lot of song writers Jeff, you were closer than you realised to the big song.
People like to sing along to happy music.
