General Election 2019

Official sort of.

NotHermit  Male  Derbyshire 13-Aug-2019 22:22 Message #4748628
Another half wit MP has dropped another clanger.
Mentioning GE 2019 in an email, then deleting it!

Will someone please explain to politicians how the internet works?
So with an election plan 2019, sort of confirms Brexit is not going to happen.
Plus all the apparent interest in crime and NHS, all bribes to win votes.

or was it deliberate ?

You really have answered your own question.

One should never expect a politician to do anything useful

I guess the key thing is what the email actually said...

Orson, What would you call "useful" from a politicians perspective. ?

Maybe you should write another letter to Tony B-liar to get his opinion.

Boris is doing his best to bankrupt the country before any election, so him and his pig shagging club can disappear and leave Jeremy with nothing.

"Boris is doing his best to bankrupt the country before any election, so him and his pig shagging club can disappear and leave Jeremy with nothing."

Lol I love your logic mancers - you're mate Jeremy is proposing to spend billions and billions more than Boris yet you say Boris is bankrupting the country.
You lefties have been calling for more spending, more police, more for the NHS etc etc - I guess it boils down to who is spending our money....

Can an election be held during conference season?

A GE is inevitable no government can surivive with a working majority of 1 and it seems increasingly likely that we'll have one before xmas, so I don't see why someone floating a GE in an email should be such big news.

Hierophant , Bankrupt this country, ha ha ha ha ha ha.....

A GE is inevitable in the near future because of the current numbers, also if called at the right time will get us out of Europe by default.

Well if you insist, but I'm not quite sure where to start...

I see old crafty Corbyn is plotting a coup and begging remainers to make him caretaker PM to avoid a no-deal brexit.
Then he will apparently trigger a general election.
Hmm the crafty old goat will lock all the doors and refuse to come out once he's in number 10....

Thoughts of an election and a change of government worry me. Brexit also worries me. I probably feel more vulnerable than a lot of others as I'm not very self-reliant. Ever since I was diagnosed I have received very good treatments and the country has looked after me and I have no complaints. In fact I feel very lucky. I worry that the changes will be for the worse. I have seen nothing about Corbyn or Brexit which give me hope for the future.
wonderoushen  Female  Gwynedd 15-Aug-2019 11:10 Message #4748783
Well I think the other party leaders have seen through Corbyn and have refused to have him as PM even in a short term one issue parliament, I can't say I blame them either. I agree with those who say it should be someone well established who carries a reasonable amount of respect across the house, like Hilary Benn, I'm not sure about Ken Clarke, but I guess he must be one of the longest serving MP's, I'd also be happy to see Sarah Woolaston or Heidi Allen or Yevette Cooper.
