Hugging on a Sunday

Come and get them

twinkle2  Female  Hertfordshire 7-Jul-2019 06:40 Message #4743994
Good morning huggers,
For me this is an early post on a Sunday but I thought I would post now before turning over and going back to sleep on what isn't exactly the most comfortable sofa bed.
I have visitors this weekend as we went to Chilfest yesterday and didn't get to bed until after 2 am. It was an excellent afternoon/evening of 70s and 80s artists culminating in Bananarama. We left slightly before they finished and managed to drive straight out of the car park avoiding the queues. Then it was home for a hot drink as it rained on us, something we weren't expecting : (

Anyway, I have suggested that we go to a local delivery for breakfast once they're awake. Then I think a fairly lady day will be on the cards and perhaps a nap on the sofa for myself later.

It's a bit grey and damp outside at the moment I hope the weather doesn't spoil people's plans for today.

Good morning huggers!
For me it's rather a late rise. It must have been about 7.30 when I got up, I normally (in summer) get up around 6.00 pm.
My home was the focal point for my relatives. One who I hardly see from Manchester with his wife and charming three year old daughter and the other with their adopted son, who I was seeing for the first time. And various of my brothers and sisters. It was a good day, and my sisters did the catering but that was what made me tired.
It's a sunny day in Doncaster.

Hug hug hug

Good morning all and hugs. Have just crawled out of bed after a late night. A good evening with six old friends talking and laughing and a few drinks. Looked out this morning to see my washing on the line getting wetter than it was when I put it out.

Good morning Twinkle and all Sunday Huggers.

An early start for me too as I am off to take some of my Air Cadets flying at RAF Cranwell

Weather looks good, so all should be able to fly.

Hugs to all

Good Morning Twinkle and all Sunday Huggers. The sun is actually shining here at the moment; blue sky with floating white clouds. Not entirely sure what I will be doing today but do have a multitude of jobs that need doing.
Went Canoeing at Dedham yesterday. Extremely peaceful as started off along the river at 8.30 before any crowds around. I did head in the opposite direction to Flatford though, which is much quieter anyway. Had hoped for a swim in the river afterwards but turned overcast and threatening rain, so didn't.
Hope it brightens up everywhere for everyone.
Sending warm (((Hugs))) from me.

good morning twinkle and all you good Sunday Huggers {{{Hugs}}} from me and more {{{Hugs}}} for all those to follow

Been up quite early. I was in need of a huge mug of tea ! Yesterday`s supper turned out a bit spicy/ salty and well browned ! it has been raining overnight but not enough so been in the garden to water the new grass seeds ( got rid of the green fingered lawn doctor!) and started clearing the garage out!!!
I will phone my friend and hope she will have tine for a walk and a bite to eat in Maldon-in-the-mud.
this evening I must `phone both my sister in the Netherlands as she has to face a serious heart operation , and I want to talk to my son. He spends a small capital and all of his spare time on his pride and joy - an old landrover!!! - no wonder he is still a bachelor as he misses all the opportunities to meet a nice young or rather middle aged !!! ha ha , lady at the local pub !

Hello Keith,

Gosh that's a long in in huh? ha ha ha. It's lovely to see family isn't it?

We went off for a very late brunch in a local deli then my friend went home from there and my sister came back with me. The sunshine finally got to us here and it has been fairly warm. So nice after last night when we got wet and cold at the concert :( I think we'll have an early night as I didn't get to bed until after 2.00 am zzz

Have a good evening.

Hello Neros1954,

Welcome to the Huggy thread. It's a Sunday tradition. If you join in then please (((HUG))) everyone who comments on the thread and they will (((HUG))) you back.

Sounds as if you had as good an evening as we did. Hopefully the sunshine has got to you and your washing is dry.

Hello Pboro Trevor,

I hope your cadets enjoyed themselves and were able to get airborne. Do they go iup in any weather or do they, like contender, require certain weather conditions?

Have a good evening.

Hello Sea Urchin,

The sun finally got to us late this morning and it's been pleasantly warm since. Like you I always have jobs to do, there will always be jobs to do I think...

You had the rain before us yesterday. It was quite overcast for most of the afternoon which was a blessing but we hadn't expected the rain.

Have a lovely evening,

Hello mancers,

I hope you managed to get your laundry washed and dry in time for for your lunch meeting and that you enjoyed yourself.

Hello leogirl,

Oh dear, well browned doesn't sound too good. Luckily I didn't have to cook yesterday as we ate at the festival. I have bought some grass seed too but haven't got round to applying it yet. Pace yourself!

I hope you managed to speak to your sister and son. There are ladies interested in cars. Maybe if he took his landrover to a specialist meet he might meet someone. Perhaps landrovers are less trouble that a girlfriend ha ha ha
