If you turn left at Gretna and drive up the Solway coast you are welcome to visit me. I will wear my kilt specially for you. Spring is so lovely here with the daffodils and bluebells. I am sure you will have a lovely time as all the natives are very friendly and welcoming.

"so will I need special clothes?"

You'll need to take some pairs of mens underpants. Then if it's windy and you've seen enough kiltjoy, you can give them to the exhibitionists and be a killjoy.

"will I see the loch ness monster?"

Yes, if there's a big man there wearing a kilt on a windy day.

If they would let you have a visa you could always try for a mastercard...

Well hope you are not going to Edinburgh as they are introducing a tourist tax of £2 per night in hotels.

I will try and get through a lighthearted thread and post, without being 'racist', but I've got nae chance.

A few things I have picked up from one of my favourite comedies, Still Game, is that puggies are slot machines, neds are the local chavs, Jakey's are wino's, bawbag is ballbag, They say names funny, Boaby is Bobby,

They are just a few to be going on with.

I think the Loch Ness monster takes his holidays around the time that you are going. hopefully you will catch him before he leaves. He is off to Windermere for a week or two.
