finding my old posts

Well ten years on and we're still together Liz and I, but I'm damned if I can get far back enough to find the posts we made to see when we actually first met, the actual date, the site has changed so much in this time I've no clue how it works anymore, and hopefully all those who were on here way back then (2006) have found their own someone.

So can anyone point me in the direction of the archived posts/threads.

I don't think they'll still be available from that far back, either in your inbox or in the forums. PMs drop off the end of your inbox as new ones come in, and I think threads are deleted when they haven't had a post for a certain time.

Congratulations on your 10th year together! x

Are you using your original profile, or have you opened a new one? I looked on your profile under the my conversations link and there is nothing there. They mostly go back to at least 2008 for other people. Do you remember your original username and password?

Oh, and always good to hear that someone is having some relationship success. Lovely to hear that you are both happy.

I'm using my original profile, I bought a lifetime membership so no need to start afresh.

Dunno if admin is looking in in but i think it is a big mistake to let the old stuff fall off, it's a way for newbies to see how long this has been going, to see success stories, I'm on many forums and even the free ones never delete the old threads, why would they.

They must be very old postings then, as I can see all my old stuff going right back. Or maybe you haven't posted anything since 2008?

Yes, I want the actual date I met up with Liz which was a part of the thread at the time, so I can arrange something special on the right day.

I was also considering copy and pasting and printing the contents of the whole thread as it did go on for a while, silly yeah, but she'd appreciate it I think.

Thread was in September & October 2006.

I joined in 2009 and there used to be an option for those looking at a profile to view conversations I'd contributed to but I can't find that now? The site changed after I joined, for a while there were 2 different versions I think?
Hopefully admin might pop up and know if older conversations are archived but emailing through 'contact us' might be the best way to ask, they don't always monitor the threads.

Sometimes you can google pretty old threads and they turn up if you can remember what it was called.
Nothing on the internet disappears forever.

All sorted, Liz had copied and pasted the whole thread :) :) 10.10.2006

Shame they deleted it though, still can't figure why, threads take up so little space, I'd Have liked to update it.

Hi Kev. If you know the thread number, you might be able to pull it up using that.
Then if you add to it, it will feature at the top of the latest messages list and we can all take a trip down memory lane.
Congratulations to you and Liz btw.
