Hi just wanted some advice off any of you about this condition as my figer is splinted but the top joint still wants to move within the splint. Physio says it's better not to move it but whatever I do unless I just do not use the hand causes moevment in the finger tip.

I am feeling neuritic about it. Ihave to spend 8 weeks in a slpint and just worried it may not heal as I cannot stop the involuntary symathetic movements in my finger...arghhh

Common sense tells me that you shouldn't worry as the splint will give the joint the support it needs. I bet that happens to everyone else.
But heck, what do I know? If you are worried, why not give the physio or the hospital a call?

Will do. I said my finger was moving in the splint so she made me one by taking an outline on paper and drawing round it then cutting a bespoke one out of plastic with lots of molding and heat gun things. I was really fed up as when trying to clean and put back on the splint my joint that is healing fell slightly when I tried to put the splint on so neurotic about that too...arghhh... She just said that it would slow the healing and if I bent that joint when changing the splint it would undo all the good.
