For me,some years ago, with the briipes and triples that are supposed to disguise a burp.
I,m not as negative as him ...yet. I still expect the sun to rise in the morning, for instance...but not sure if it will give me any warmth!

I become my mam, when I stand staring at the cooker, with my hands on my hips...spooky !!!

I see myself in a reflection and my dad looking back at me. Not in a mirror but more like an accidental reflection in a shop window and such. It started when I was around forty or so.
I am glad that I only look like him. I won't ever think like him. He was a monster
On a lighter note I have the Debyshire dialect of my mam even though I live in North Notts

I'm noticing I have a fair few of my mums mannerisms oflate. I've probably always had them but am only just beginning to notice them. Regarding thinking and opinions ... nah... they can stay hers lol

I grew up vowing praying "Please God, don't make me like her," (my mother). She was a violent, nasty, spiteful, selfish woman. I have worked hard not to be like her and think I've succeeded! Thankfully.

Kind of hoping i turn into my dad as he was also my best friend if that makes sense.

As regards Jomailme's post
I have worked hard to not be my Father equally as much. I think that sometimes being on the back foot as a child can make a difference as an adult. I learnt what not to do and my kids love me as much as I love them

Darcy,
I'm still looking for the sort of woman me mam warned me about ! ! ... he he.

Hello Keith
Think that's a really honest post. Call me a c=nt but was he an alcoholic? I was taken into the Legionnares Club and fed alcohol from the age of 9 and my arrogant father thought that making his childen the shadow of him was the way to go!
My father's a coward. And the sun will rise for you, believe in nature.

I count myself lucky with my parents. My Dad was my best friend and like an absent minded professor and I'm an... Um, err, Ah ;-)

A dark haired sweet-talking wonder?

I will never ever turn into my mother. I'm not jealous, possessive, controlling or a bully in any way shape or form.
|
|

I swear that they based Wallace & Gromit on him. I still have his massive Industrial Lathe and fine tool precision Lathe amongst many other tools. I've even caught myself muttering just like him when I'm thinking about how to design something to get around a problem. I'm getting worried ;-)

Sorry, didn't mean to distract you from this here dating site!
It's nice to know there's someone there on the threads and it's live. I'm getting pissed and listening to The Byrds... So where were you? !!!
