Please can you guys explain the obssesion some men have with dead fish? There are a number of profiles with some guy holding out a dead fish to the camera, even worse is where they are kneeling presenting the dead fish.

What is this about? Don't guys know that most women find the whole idea totally off-putting?

Please... any explanations!

Jo

Could it be the same reason why a cat presents us with a mouse?

One explanation Jo, is that these fish aren't Dead in fact the said fish are taken in hand to be recorded for all time and then put gently back from whence they had came ... in my experience as once a fisherman!

Ha ha Andy

Another explanantion is the man is hungry and wants the women to cook it for him:-)

Ok that would never happen :-)

I don't know Farespese, i could quite easily get my self entangled in pizza pastry ... take a photo with the hope someone would want to rescue me and show me how it is done professionally ... the pizza that is of course, lol

Erm, fishing is a hobby?
They don't have many pictures of themselves, so think, in all innocence, that displaying the picture is better than having no picture at all?
They do it purely to wind women like you up?
Who knows - Why not ask them instead of starting a thread about it?...

Maybe it's a distraction technique...

'You look at my fish, you don't bother to look at anything else...'

:D

According to my nephew (15 going on 30) it's all about the "my dad is bigger than your dad" pose... and look at my beast! :)
Me and my nephew have also noticed that fishermen also take their shirts off for "said photo" but you never see any naked chested men fishing! Hunters also take photo's of game shot, from pheasants to tigers!

Spacey who has to look at literally hundreds of photo's of nephew holding wet fish and dead birds! :)

I suppose it could be equated to those women who have pictures of themselves with chunky aran sweaters that they hae knitted, or trousers they just 'ran up' on their sewing machine.

Who knows?

who cares?

If a profile has something on it i dont like, i skip over it, just because it doesnt suit me, doesnt mean it wont suit somebody else.

Just move on and say NEXT!

I don't find it any different to the photos of guys and their cars, or with their bycycles or whatever, I just look at them and think, they will be out of my hair for a while and no, I don't want to join in.

So they've got a fish - there's plenty more in the sea, so I'm told!
