I've just been chatting to a member about possibly arranging an MSE holiday to my holiday home in Egypt, so thought I'd find out if there was any interest.

Accommodation would be in self catering apartments (one of which, mine, can be seen in my galleries on my profile) by the beach, with two swimming pools.

I can arrange dates to suit the majority, but was wondering about checking out cheap flight dates and suggesting one of those...

People would book their own flights (I can advise and support with this), and can book a room to themselves (or shared) at £180 for the week, or just £90 for the week if they don't mind sharing (twin) with an agreed other person going. The cost includes accommodation in a fully kitted out apartment with 2 bathrooms, equipped kitchen with oven, microwave and washing machine, use of pools, transfers to and from the airport in Egypt and utilities.

So, anyone interested? I could arrange either single sex or mixed apartments if people let me know what they prefer and could even arrange excursions if there is interest...

If there is enough interest I will post a meets thread with provisional dates and take it from there.

Any questions?

Happy,
Any time that people want... Suggest a date and see what others think.

Cloudnine,
If this takes off and is popular I'd be happy to organise regular holidays, so maybe next time.

I have found that the cheapest flights tend to be direct through Easyjet (from Gatwick), but you can get some good deals through Thomas Cook and Thomson who fly out of Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester (possibly other airports too).

If anyone wants to go separately, I'm happy to rent the whole place or arrange mini-holidays for 3-4 members at a time...

Anyone seriously interested, please state possible dates at the bottom of your message, or pm me if you don't want to go public...

I can also arrange accommodation to suit friendship groups (why not talk to other friends on site and fill a whole apartment yourselves?)

I've just been taking a look at flights...

Flights are always cheapest as soon as they are released and Easyjet are due to release their flights for late 2012 very soon, which means that flights will be much cheaper As long as they are booked quite quickly).

Although current flights are not cheap, if you consider how little is spent on accommodation (the same as one or two nights accommodation in similar standard accommodation in the UK for a week's stay), it does balance out.

How about June or early July?
Flights tend to be cheaper during term time and it's very hot rather than stifling...

My god! It's all women interested. Methinks if I had the money I would love to go too. Especially as I might be the only guy there.

The airport you need to go to is Hurghada, Egypt. It is only 20 minutes from resort. The resort is a new private town called Sahl Hasheesh. It is very quiet and totally safe. No hassling and very relaxing.

After my recent Christmas Jaunt to Tenerife and finding out that flying isn't as bad as i always thought it would be then yes i am very interested in this,

as for timing and dates i don't have any problem and could work to others if they wanted to make a party up for flights and maybe get a better deal on the flight cost but i would be looking at flying from Birmingham!
