My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I love to cook and although I don't have a signature dish as such I'm not bad at following most recipes.
Shopping	I don't mind shopping but hate the sales when it's like a jumble sale. I love buying something special either for someone else or for me and love searching for exactly the right thing.
DIY	I'm not bad at DIY - I'll certainly give it a go at least. I can decorate (paint & paper) and gardening isn't a problem. The only time I can't manage is when I'm not strong enough or if it's electrical or plumbing - somehting that requires knowledge i don't have. I'm more than happy to call in an expert then.
Housework	I like to have a clean and tidy house but I'm not mega OCD about it and if it wa sthe choice between spend good time with someone special or clean up then the polish and duster would stay firmly in the cupboard
Dining out	Who doesn't love to eat out? I like something from most cuisines as long as it doesn't contain meat, of course.
Movies	I like the cinema even though my favourite films tend to be chick flicks or anythign with Colin Firth or Gerrard Butler in it. I don't like horror films or violent films - or anythign that keeps me awake at night.
Theatre	I'm not a culture vulture but I love the theatre. My favourite things are musicals and I'm desperate to see Les Miserables but I like opera and ballet too. Also a big fan of comedy shows - like Brick up the Mersey and One Night in Istanbul
Music	I've got a very broad musical taste from Alfie Boe to Bruno Mars, Meatloaf to McFly.
Gigs	I like gigs in stadiums as the atmosphere can be electric but you can't beat hearing a good band in a pub when everyone is enjoying it and you really feel part of it.
Pubs	I like a nice glass of wine but prefer wine bars and nice pubs to the "spit and sawdust" kind of place.
Clubbing	No more clubbing for me - been there, done it, bought the t-shirt and now using it for a duster.
Newspapers and magazines	Don't read many papers as I get news online everyday for work. I like magazines but don't have a particular favourite.
Books	I love to read books and ususally have 2 or sometimes 3 on the go. One of my favourites is Random Acts of Heroic Love by Danny Scheinmann - a real tear jerker but I also love anything by Marian Keyes and Celia Aherne.
TV	Not a masssive TV fan but I do love Mock the Week and QI and also Peep Show.
Watching sport	Love football, especially when Liverpool or England are playing and I do like the World cup and European championships. Can't watch golf or cricket - what is that about???
Playing sport	I don't do sport.
Hobbies	I am a zumba addict (see previous comment) but also like walking, reading,and playing on the wii.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	In ten years time I want to be happy and to be able to look back and say "that was good, wasn't it?".
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Amelia Earhart (a truly remarkable woman), Elvis Presley (a beautiful voice and lots of stories) and John Bishop (a fellow LFC supporter and funny too).
My ideal date	My ideal date would be a nice meal with lots of champagne followed by a walk hand in hand along a warm moonlit beach. Or a bag of chips sitting on the sea front.
What would I never, ever give up?	I would never give up my family for anyone. They are alway there for me through thick and thin and I will always be there for them no matter what.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	The importance of living life as fully as you should. it's not a rehearsal - take every opportunity you can.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I would love to go back in time to spend time with Florence Nightingale helping her out. But then i'd love to live in Paris - what a beautiful elegant city it is.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	There are so many worthwhile causes so I would have to split it between Cancer Research, Macmillan Nurses, Alder Hey Children's Hospital, RSPCA and WWF.
