About me

Often described as a "pretty nice chap", loving, kind & sensitive. Ok so I know that is rare in a man, but as most of my friends are female I will just have to trust what they say about me. I have on occassion been likened to a white knight - no shining armour, just a good guy who helps out. I like to think I have a positive, up beat take on life, happy to experience new things and that I am open and honest with a commitment to continuing personal and spiritual development. Camping in the rain for 5 days to see The Dalai Lama was certainly an experience!

About you

I’m not exactly sure what I’m looking for but I know that like any man I can be attracted by initial appearances. I do however look beyond the superficial, and hopefully I will find someone who can receive as well as give, is intelligent (which is not the same as having a mountain of certificates), can have serious conversations as well as light hearted humour, is spiritual but without religious dogma, can stand up for herself but likes to be supported as well as being supporting. But of course the most important thing is that you are prepared to build a mutual loving, caring, understanding and committed relationship and not expect to find your ‘soul mate’ or ‘twin flame’ in a blinding flash, as such relationships are built over time, very rarely occuring instantaneously. Such is the way of the Universe when initial connections are made; you have to do your part in creating the abundance destined to come your way.

A very long time ago I realised that there was no such thing as a perfect match. So unlike Mary Poppins, you don't have to be absolutely perfect in every way, just a good mix of reasonably lovely in many of them.

Ok, so this is probably a bit heavy for this site, but as I'm not interested in footie and have never seen a whole episode of Eastenders (living there was enough), I'm clearly not your typical bloke. For now I’m happy to just make new friends, but if the right lady comes along, then we will both know it. If you think you might be her, then please live locally as I have many commitments and getting away is often tricky.

Travelling to meet new people is fine and I do it when I can, but to maintain a serious long term relationship - for me at least - means under an hour's drive if we're to meet up regularly.
