I like to think that I am friendly, funny, intelligent, compassionate...well actually, I know I am!

I am a 'sensitive soul' with a cheeky sense of humour and a wicked giggle!

I work in the voluntary sector and feel passionately about trying to make a 'positive difference' to the lives of others.

I have great empathy for others and lots of people say that it is a real strength of mine and although i believe it is, i often think others reap the benefits of this more than i do; (make of that what you will!)

My brother died very tragically in November 07 from Legionnaire's Disease (a type of pneumonia) The symptoms are the same as the flu eg headaches, profuse sweating, exhaustion, pains in the joints etc. The diease can only be detected from blood and urine tests and once diagnosed can be treated; my brother was told by hospital staff he simply had the flu...a week later he was dead. Please be aware of the dangers of this disease and if you know someone who has flu symptoms and may have been exposed to the legionella bacteria please urge them to go for tests. You could save someone's life. Please spread the word.Thank You
