My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I enjoy cooking, I like to experiment with food . I love most foods that looks attractive, but it needs to be tasty too. I do not like bland food or snobby slop. I have many favourite dishes from Indian , chinese, Indonesian and more besides.
Shopping	I love shopping . I can shop till I drop. Just need someone who has loads of money and does not mind paying for it.
DIY	I have had to be, although it is usually as a last resort, and often ends up a bad job..
Housework	I enjoy housework up to a point , as I like my place presentable and clean. It is necessary, but ironing and some chores bore me.
Dining out	I love dining out , depends though with whom , where, why and of course cost and who is paying is important also..
Movies	I love going to the movies sometimes. Again depends who it is with and what I am watching .It must be nice to be with your man watching a good movie together.
Theatre	I love going to the theatre , but have not done this too much.I love opera and hope to do more of this if possible.
Music	I love dancing and have done much of this in my younger days . However now I like to listen to music, dance occsionally , by going for a dinner dance/ motown night etc.I love Santana , Lionel Richie, Tina turner to name a few.
Gigs	I have not been to see any gigs for a long time, and really am not to bothered.
Pubs	It depends on the bars or pubs, I like a drink but often as I have to drive home I dont drink .I prefer wine bars, to the culture in local pubs .
Clubbing	I am afraid my clubbing days are well past. I still like to dance , but for me behaving respectably is also vital and I really dont think being the oldest clubber in town is an imperative, or cool.
Newspapers and magazines	I enjoy reading and read the week , a weekly paper covering news concise / essentials for the week.I also get the bridge magazine which I enjoy.
Books	I read from time to time . However mainly in my spare moments I write short stories , poems, for publication or for pleasure .
TV	I love watching Tv , documentaries, question time, specialist channels, QI, commedy channels., countdown and weakest link
Watching sport	I enjoy watching motorsports sometimes, other wise i find it boring to be a spectator.
Playing sport	I am learning to play golf, a sport I have taken up more recently. I loved playing squash which I no longer play. I like swimming and do this at times. I love playing bridge and plays this 1 weekly.
Hobbies	I write on line, and am in the process of writing a book. I have also written poems , and have them published. I love cooking and gardening which I do often.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	By 10 years hopefully I would be well settled in a compatible long term relationship. Hopefully by then I would have published my first book and on to many more.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Aside from my immediate family, I suppose I would like to invite Peter Jones, James Caan, or Theo or Deborah Meadon .
My ideal date	A candle light dinner for 2 by a faraway tropical seaside on a private beach.
What would I never, ever give up?	My family , hinduism, curries, and a few other private indulgences.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	I think it would be about either writing or poetry. Or it may well be art or food another two of my passions.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I t would have to be somewhere peaceful where I would feel free not a subject of any subjugation from anyone , so it would have to be S. India ,
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	I would not give this much money to any single charity as most charities are the only organisation that seem to be doing good business. In any case I would divide it between me, my family , then unicef, mind and oxfam.
My "and finally" section ...	I am sociable, fun , and friendly. I hate ignorance, bigotry , filth and uncultured types. I like honesty and standing up for what I believe, for good values are important. I do not like hypocrites.
