I like to think that I am a nice woman both inside and out. I realise that life is not a dress rehearsal and that we have to make the most of each day that we have on this earth although I know from personal experience that it is not that easy. I am very much a people person and care very much about how people feel and how they are. I took up sailing a couple of years ago as it was something I had always wanted to do, I have also had a go at canoeing and one day would love to go white water rafting. I enjoy adventures as long as they are not too hair raising or up too high - having said that I would like to absail it is just that I suffer from vertigo!!!

I love to travel and explore. At the same time I also adore closing the curtains on a winter's night and curling up in front of my log fire with a glass of cold crisp white wine. I have a large circle of friends, both couples and single people. Just one thing I lack, and that the most important of all - that special person to spoil and to be spoiled by - that one person who makes the heart flutter, the phone ring and life to take on a buzz. Someone to share life with all its ups and downs. Someone who enjoys walking whether it be wandering around the streets of a village or a city exploring all its places of interest. Gets pleasure from scenery both along the coast paths or in the countryside. It does not have to be a "hike", but the pleasure just in being there together sharing a picnic, a pub meal or at the end of a day a nice meal.

I have two daughters each with their own homes and two grandsons, I am the youngest of five - my eldest brother being 80 years old and I am very close to all my siblings if that is what I can call an octogenarian! My father died when he was 101 - he lived a very full and active life and I intend to follow in his footsteps.

I am five feet four, average build. blonde hair, great company. As comfortable in an evening gown and stilletos as jeans and walking boots. A true and loyal friend.

I love music of all types, theatre and to dance. I am a great romantic and very loving.

I have my own home with a south facing garden which gives me pleasure all year around - except it is a hard work to maintain and just goes to emphasise the empty chair beside me on the patio when sitting down to admire it all. 

An honest man looking for a friend and companion. Someone taller than me as I want to feel cherished. Someone who wants to be spoiled, loved, cuddled and who thinks I am the best thing since sliced bread. Who feels his heart flutter when he sees my name come up on his phone and who wants to hold my hand when we are close.

Someone who is just as happy in a crowd as he is comfortable as one of a pair on a dessert island.
