Started a university degree at 50 in social sciences. It was very difficult as it involves quite a few 'ologies' and I really should have done an access course first, consequently, so very near the end, I just decided to take a year out, one term to go - but will get better marks in the end this way. So at the moment Im just coming down from academia and enjoying having time for other things.

Those other things........ my garden, children,friends, reading novels rather than text books, walking in the nearby hills, diy and the computer - lots of things.

I also do a DJ spot one night a week on the internet which is great fun - dont much like having to do the talking but love playing the music - it just feels really wierd talking out loud in an empty room !

I like to get good at things that interest me basically. My friends tell me that they like to bounce their problems off me cos they will always get an objective response - if that means anything to you.

People say they like my music choices too - and I am excellent at getting lost in a good book!
 

I love to chat to interesting people and make new friends - hopefully I will find a new friend who becomes an extra special person in my life.
