TooOldToDieYoung    (54) from Staffordshire

I`m a creative person - a crazy idealist? - always got some sort of project on the go - would like think I have John Peel's sociability & reflection, and Fred Dibnah's passion for stuff... shame these two heroes've both pegged it... hmmm! what does that tell me?) I've a thirst for understanding what makes the world tick, and making my own little mark upon it!!!

Seem to have managed a fairly Bohemian lifestyle with my (then teenage) kids this last decade... Like travelling and indulging unending curiosity... have wandered far and wide... North Cape to Cape of Good Hope... lots in the Eastern Bloc, mostly wild & empty places, which I've a fascination for. Still more to see and do, contemplate and learn.

My sons are grown-up and away from home now. (Single parent since partner's death in 1989.) Long-awaited independence finally arrived after 2 decades of parenthood, (all-be-it somewhat wacky) : when it does one's no firm idea what to do with it!
Like to think I've dealt with the emotional baggage usually accumulated by now... feel pretty 'sorted'...

Guess I'm practical, intelligent, perceptive, easy-going. Enjoy both doing & being. Can cook (but stubbornly refuse to read a recipe), Don't know the 'offside' rule, rarely on time, good with a spanner, & lousy at diaries, bills, & birthdays. Good @ starting, crap @ finishing... classic INTP personality.
Prefer NeXT sale to Burton, Oxfam to BeWise, Croquet to football, Swarfega to soap, Waitrose to Kwiksave, BBC to Sky, IKEA to MFI, E-bay to car-boot, Diesel to Petrol, bitter to lager, red to ros?, Mandela to Mugabe, Warsaw to Walsall, dawn to dusk, now to then.
...oh, and can scrub up well if required (I think !! ).  

A number one philosophy is that: Whatever it is you do in life, I hope that you do it with passion...
