First and foremost I am an activist on a mission to change the world, and it just so happens I have a pretty good plan ;) This involves writing books and videos, maybe a film, songs which I distribute online. I work on a psychological and spiritual level helping humanity towards truth and compassion, that kind of thing. Enlightenment I guess. A woman for me will have to fit in with that, be she a partner, lover, friend, or colleague. Climbing for Greenpeace wasn't enough for me and I found Mensa weren't active enough, so now I plough my own furrow. I address issues such as war, the environment, poverty, animal welfare, corporate greed etc. I've had some unique experiences. Was an earth scientist for a while then after fitting out my own solar powered narrowboat, on which I live, I downshifted to become a boat fitter. I try to live a modestly green existence.
I have a wonderful 14 year old son, who is the light of my life and takes an important position in things I do and decide. He lives with me half of the time. Best times are with him messing about, like boating or camping or climbing, or walking in the beautiful hills. Have done some action things in the past like paragliding and climbing and caving. I love children and seem to get on well with all ages. I love their sense of fun, their natural morals and their receptiveness to the truth. I don't want to have any more of my own, though, one is wonderful for me. I
I'm vegan and my son is vegetarian. If I have a woman she will have to be veggie too, though I am happy to talk to meat eaters. :)
As I say, my life has been interesting, at times challenging, and those periods have taught me much and I feel well rounded and able to empathise with other people. I believe strongly in love, and I try to give as much as I can back to the world.
My campaign work has led to me writing my book - "The Quest for Truth: On Finding the Grail" which is (though I say it myself) a dazzling exploration of the Universe uncovering many lost mysteries and ultimately revealing the lost spirituality of the Holy Grail (which no one else seems to have found, and which turns out to be the opposite of flakey....) I now have another one out on the psychology of global issues.
I am a scientist, singer songwriter, poet and musician, philosopher, wonderful father, ex Greenpeace climber (did you miss that the first time?!), fantastically funny, tall, dark and horribly attractive.
Anyway, my proudest moment was maybe when I lit a fire by rubbing sticks somewhere in the Cotswolds with my son there to witness it. Great fun.
I love spiritual things but in the sense that I think reality is the ultimate spiritual adventure. For example I believe atheists, in being close to the truth, are actually closer to God than many believers, though probably both the atheists and the believers would argue against this. I develop my own spirituality which I offer to others through my work. I'm not into ley lines, or crystals or astrology or magical thinking - that the unvierse makes thoughts real if you think them right. Things come about through action. Spirituality should be the very opposite of delusion, it is about connecting with the universe. I'm a big fan of Gandhi for his moral code, his courage and compassion and for his allegiance to Truth.
So do drop me a line, even if we just end up as occasional friends that'd be great. And don't be too scared, I'm actually very down to earth and easy to get on with.
Lots of love and Stuff,
Chris x
Could be a friend, a lover or a soul mate, it all depends on what we are meant to be...Having said that, there are one or two things I don't do. I don't do hassle or dishonesty. I like a happy life, and intend to make the woman I am with equally happy. I don't do arguments ;)
What else? Well, I'm happy to meet anyone, but ideally the woman I "settle down with" will be a non-smoker. And in an ideal world she would be vegetarian or vegan. And supportive of the work.
