About me

Ok, well I'm an easy going genuine guy with a good sense of humour and a love of music. I would describe myself and caring and tactile. I get on well with people, although sometimes (not always though!) lack a little confidence in some situations.

Although it's not intentional, I'm a bit of a chameleon, in that I do seem to be different, depending on which friends I'm with. With some people, I can be the life and soul of the party and then at other times, my quieter side seems to show more.

I'm not particularly photogenic and do look at least a bit better in real life...Don't judge me by the awful photos. I'm pretty happy with myself and that's the main thing!

I'm not the most practical person in the world and do tend to be a bit of a dreamer sometimes! I enjoy the arts and quite enjoy doing cultural things, e.g. museums, stately homes, castles etc. I love the emotive power of the sea and the beauty of nature. But I also like just chilling out with a good dvd!

I tend to appreciate the simple things, rather than being materialistic and feel fairly content with what I've got in terms of possessions, although emotionally feel that I'm not completely fulfilled at the moment.

I started my own business with an ex-colleague earlier this year and haven't starved yet, so that's a good sign! I had wanted to work for myself for a long time, mainly for the freedom and challenges that I couldn't seem to get working for someone else. Haven't made much money yet but am glad I made the move.

Although I won't be giving up the day job, I love music and play acoustic guitar. Usually have a jam with a friend most weeks.

I like all kinds of music, although not too keen on chart pop or R & B (well not modern R & B - don't mind the sixties stuff!). I tend to prefer indie, ska,folk, sixties, seventies, mod, eighties, reggae. Fave bands include Suede, Radiohead, Madness, Specials, The Who, Portishead, Nick Drake (well not a band, I know!).

As well as music, I like books, films and tv - the usual stuff really. I really like good comedy - Peter Kay, Father Ted, The Office.

I love food but cooking is not my strong point unfortunately...

I hate theme park and fair rides!
