My hobbies and interests

Cooking	i love to cook, experimenting with food and new dishes. My favourite style is italian.
Shopping	i shop for what i want...i have a plan and stick to it. Endless browsing and indecisiveness is a turn off.
DIY	i get by reasonably well with DIY.
Housework	I do my fair share of housework
Dining out	love to eat out, don't mind where and willing to try something new
Movies	i like to attend the cinema if there's something i particularly want to watch e.g. films with a strong story line
Theatre	i enjoy musicals such as West Side Story and have taken my son to Stratford on Avon to enjoy some Shakespeare
Music	My musical tastes are quite eclectic and I have a substantial collection of music covering a wide range of styles.
Gigs	Concerts are more my style now
Pubs	i can enjoy a few drinks with friends but don't visit the local pubs on a regular basis

Newspapers and magazines	i have a local newspaper delivered every day and enjoy reading the Mail on Sunday
Books	I have enjoyed some Dan Brown and Cadfael. I have quite a few books that focus on history and poetry.
TV	i am quite selective over what i watch. enjoy Discovery, National Geographic and History channels. I love to learn about the world.
Watching sport	i admit to an interest in football, cricket, tennis and rugby...as a spectator largely!

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	living in the countryside, growing my own food, living in peace with myself and the world around me.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Ghandi, Socrates, Lao Tse.
My ideal date	someone with a fertile imagination, loving Nature and conversation. Someone who knows how to relax and live.
What would I never, ever give up?	my escapes into the countryside because I need to recharge my batteries from time to time
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Preserving places of beauty as a legacy for all to enjoy.
