Hello. Thanks for looking at my profile.

Where to start? I'lll try to make it entertaining, but it's difficult isn't it. I am a widow, aged 57. My background is in office work and I am lucky enough to be employed still. I work part-time. I have 3 lovely grown up children, two of them live abroad and I live alone though I visit as often as I can.

I have varied interests, mainly in the arts. Currently mugging up my schoolgirl French as my son lives in France and my grandson refuses to speak any English! I love cooking, gardening and home-making. I also dabble in water colour painting and drawing when I have time. My favourite night out would be a night at the theatre/cinema/opera/concert/dance, with an intelligent companion and then afterwards a meal with a glass of wine.

About you

I want to meet people who are fun to be with, intelligent and empathic, honest and reliable. Looks and age are unimportant. That's quite a shopping list! so, if you are still with me ... I drive and I am fond of visiting stately homes, museums, places of interest, concerts, films, car boots, historic cities, foreign travel. I am not looking for a partner or a soul mate - just good friends.
