I am an easy going man, recently seperated from my wife. I work for a local engineering company, and originally come from Strathpeffer. I have 3 wonderful children, and am looking for friendship during these dark times everyone seems to have now and again.

I am looking for friendship and compianship, someone who likes to have fun and be not to serious, there is always time for laughter. I havent dated our sought out a relationship in many a long year, so this could be a steep learning curve.

I hope that I would be kind and caring to any one who I meet an that a friendship started would be a journey that we would both enjoy.

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Dont mind cooking, rather good at eating the produce of someone elses.Like most things Trad. roasts, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian it all tastes good to me!
Shopping	Shopping is necessary evil, in out checkout, thats my style when it comes to food shopping, Man shopping, thats different every gadget must be compared and evaluated, this may take up to a minute!
DIY	Fairly practical I have hameer for all occasions!
Housework	Like the house to be tidy but lived in! not a show home.
Dining out	Like most things , Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian, Greek.
Movies	Haven't been to a picturehouse for ages.
Theatre	I would like to go to the theatre, but just never seem to have had the right person to go with, maybe this will change in the future.
Music	Tom Petty, Dire straits, Snow Patrol, and Florence and the Machine are all heard within my world.
Gigs	Dont mind going to gigs, been to glasgow on a number of occasions to see the likes of Meatloaf, Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams.
Pubs	A nice quiet pint in a nice quiet pub would be nice, the pint would be cola though, someone has to drive home!
Clubbing	Never had a clubbing youth, not likely to have a clubbing future!!!!
Newspapers and magazines	I read them but do we believe them, P&J, Ross-shire Journal, You can take the man out of Ross-shire but he'll never ever give you his journal.
Books	I like books by Tom Sharpe, Jeremy Clarkson.
TV	Like to relax watching big box in corner, mainly comedy channels like Dave, or Top gear you can never have too much Top gear.
Watching sport	The only sport I watch on the TV is the shinty, everything else is just background noise.
Playing sport	This highly toned figure struggles to keep up with my dogs, playing sports is not high in my priorities, though this could change if persuaded.
Hobbies	I like collecting old technical manuals and reference books, you never know when they could come in handy!

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	Still living would be a good start, hopefully around the Strath.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	James May, Stephen Fry, and I K Brunel
My ideal date	Lorraine Kelly, because she doesnt take herself too seriously
What would I never, ever give up?	Believing in the truth will out, As people that lie allways get found out in the end.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Engineering, why people who think it is not important dont realise that with out engineers where would we be!
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Berlin in Nov 89, when the wall fell down, I lived there for the two years previous and three months after i leave it falls down, To see some of the sights and sounds of city that was once divided now rejoined.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Id givesome to a cancer charity and some to an animal charity.
My "and finally" section ...	All this sort of thing is new to me, treat me gently and I'll be your friend forever!
