Having lived on my own for 5 years I have become very independant & self sufficient. I like to think that I have a modern outlook on life but still possess some old fashioned values.I like to think I'm laid back but not to the point where the wind would blow me over. I have two wonderful Dalmatian companions ("ka-tet",as Stephen King would say).Outdoor pursuits i.e. walking, hiking (all weathers) obviously are always on the agenda. I am also into keeping fit/healthy eating & workout regularly.I enjoy backgammon, chess, cards, reading, (lots of historical novels-Bernard Cornwall, Simon Scarrow, Christian Jacq etc) & red wine to help pass the winter nights & like to be out & about during the rest of the year.(Picnics on the South Downs in a thunderstorm a speciality ).
Although the armour has become a bit rusty I can be sensitive, tactile & hold a reasonably intelligent conversation.(I have my own hair & teeth too).
I do believe in the soul-mate theory & probably have been on my own for so long because I am not willing to settle for second best.
Obviously someone who is going to adores my dogs, (protected species), as much as I do &, isn't going to turn up in white jeans & high heels for a walk on the downs in the middle of winter. Romantic,a lovely smile, & the ability to laugh in the face of adversity would be important.
Must be able to accept a, "Love me love my dogs" situation.
Sorry but I know my dogs & a cat owner or someone with small children would be unadvisible.
Having lost a lot of weight recently I am hoping to meet people with a similar life style to share exercise/healthy eating tips.
