About me

Cross between 'Grumpy Old Man' and an ageing Petrol head. Well, I've been shamed into coming back here and try to give a better idea of who I am and what I've done.....it seems my thumbnail sketch was just a tad too sketchy!! So here goes. What an I like? Well I think I'm a pretty nice bloke, honest as the day is long, truthful, faithful...........gawd that makes me sound like a St Bernhard. Fairly laid back, arguably almost to the point of being comatose at times. Although sometimes I kick over the traces and do mad things. Things I've done..........well lets see, did Judo as a kid, always been into motorsport of any sort, so have marshalled on rallies, did road rallies and then stage rallies. Stopped when I got married, had two kids (well not me.......the ex-wife did!) got interested in American Football and became a coach. Knew I'd never be happy til I'd at least tried playing it, so stopped coaching it and started playing it (aged 40!!!) See.....I said I sometimes did mad things! Got injured halfway through the season so retired gracefully. Since breaking up with my long term partner two years ago decided to make time for me............so back into motorsport......this time brought an Off Road Racing buggy and spent last year going all over the country.......great fun......and even won the championship for my class.

What else..........errr.........work in I.T. (groan) Yes I know, but so does about 95% of the country!! Anything else you'd like to know just ask!

Tricky questions first egh? I wish I knew!!! Someone with a good sense of humour, from some of the posts on here it seems some people take thereselves way too seriously. Just to make friends and have a chat and a laugh. Course if it also happens that I meet a lady that 'blows my socks off' then that would be a bonus.
