soulmateseeker (49) from Derbyshire
Hi! The best you could wish for! Thats if you want a life filled with respect, cuddles and fun.
I'm an intelligent, interesting, caring, sensitive, sensual lady with a gsoh. I am very easy going, laid back and non-critical, non-judgmental.
I love most types of music, especially rock/folk/blues/soul, and 70's/80's. Anything really apart from modern (c)rap, r&b and trash metal. I enjoy seeing live rock and blues bands in pubs, and gigs in general. I love travel, though I hate driving long distances, walking in the countryside & coast (though the coast is a bit lacking round here as I live well inland!). I enjoy real ale pubs, a good curry, eating out, (I have discerning taste in beer and food). Quality is far more important than posh surroundings! I enjoy cooking proper meals (not microwave type) if I've got someone equally discerning to cook for! I just as much enjoy a night in snuggling up with good conversation. I prefer the sort of places where you can have a decent conversation, I think good communication is very important. I also enjoy a good boogie sometimes, when there is something decent playing to dance to! I suppose i like being anywhere as long as I enjoy the company I am with! I am intereseted in psychology, sociology, culture and anything to do with the mind. I also enjoy creative writing, (stories and poetry), quizzes, reading when I get the chance(non-fiction) and complementary/alternative therapies, and spiritual/psychic things. I am a part-time mum to 2 respectful, non-sulky teenagers (they are happy for me to be in a relationship)so I enjoy family days out/holdays too, I just prefer it with adult company. I like to keep fit, and I go to the gym and/or swimming at least 3 times a week, tho it doesn't seem to make much difference! Would much rather go for a long walk by a river or on the cliff tops if I have good company though!
Hopefully will find my soulmate, so many cynical people out there who daren't give things a go. I've been hurt like everyone else, but always give the benefit of the doubt. You never get anywhere if you don't try! I'm genuinely single, with lots of love to give to the right person. Pity my love was wasted last time, I always put 100% into a relationship, and expect the same in return.
Someone intelligent, interesting, caring, who likes good conversation, with great sense of humour, who doesn't mind my kids being around sometimes, who is non-critical and non-judgmental, someone like myself, i suppose. Personality and the way they are with me much more important than looks, I am not shallow so i don't go for shallow people. Someone who I can have a laugh with, really talk to, and most importantly, to relax and be myself with. Someone who enjoys being with me as much as I enjoy being with them, and isn't afraid to show it. Someone who likes kids and doesn't mind going places, eg hols, days out etc, with them. Someone romantic, caring and respectful. I've been hurt not too long ago by someone I was really compatible with, through outside circumstances, no fault of our own. So I'm probably not as open as I used to be, but hoping to heal the hurt with someone respectful, who considers my feelings, treats me right and puts me first (or at least equal top!) Beginning to wonder if there are any genuine single males out there who want a proper relationship, ready to love again. I'm thinking all the men on these sites are just players, wanting affairs. Will someone prove me wrong?

Cooking
|
I enjoy cooking when someone to cook for! Prefer fresh things, not keen on ready meals or frozen things. I like experimenting with curries, good at chinese, and good at traditional english eg braised steak, roasts, cheese pie, etc. I do a mean spag bol, but then I think everyone does!

|
Shopping
|
I do fashion shopping out of necessity or when a sale is on! Its not my favourite thing, rather not have to do it. Not keen on high street shopping. I like supermarket shopping and things like farmers markets, fairs, ethnic shops. I like unusual shops, and will mooch around car boot sales, or antiques

|
DIY
|
Diy disaster! My shelves are the ones that can be hung over doors or fixed with suckers. Terrified of drills. With me its not the texas chainsaw massacre its the derbyshire drill massacre!

Love most music, especially rock, folk, blues, oldies, swing, rock n roll, country. I just dont like rap and modern r&b and the noise which comes out of trendy bars/clubs

Love gigs. I like the famous bands, prefer smaller venues to stadiums tho, but just as happy in a pub with good atmosphere and a good rock or blues band (especially if it sells real ale)

|
Yes love real ale pubs. Not keen on the really noisy type with awful music. Like a night in also with good company tho
