Not easy to try and sell yourself in just a few words. Do I say the usual 'honest, kind, genuine etc' that everyone writes? Whereas all of those are true, there is a lot more to me than that. I can be deep, quiet and thoughtful, determined (stubborn?) when necessary but am always considerate to others. Conversely I'm always up for trying new things (as long as they don't involve heights), I like to be the life and soul of the party and can be downright hilarious.

Although it says I'm looking for friendship, the bottom line is I'm looking for my solemate (that's 'sole' as in one before any members of the spelling police get out their notebooks and pencils!!). I chose the friendship option as I believe that without becoming friends in the first place, a stable long term relationship is unlikely to follow.

I originate from Surrey, but when I left the RAF I settled in Essex and now live in Colchester with my teenage son - might as well live alone for all the sensible conversation I get. Do excuse the pic, I'm not the most photogenic person in the world. But apparently I don't look bad in the flesh, especially when served in low light after a couple of glasses of highly alcoholic liquid!! Ideal partner? Giving a wish list would make me sound picky, but how about a 90 year old millionairess who's unlikely to make it to 91? Alternatively a 35 year old natural redhead. OK, setting sights a bit high here. If you're female and a mirror steams over when held under your nose then you're the girl for me.
