I am generally quite an upbeat sort of person, I work hard and have quite a stressful job but even though I moan a about it a bit I do enjoy it as there is never a dull moment. I live with my cat Skippy in SE London, sometimes I have a lodger or a couch surfer - it depends how I feel.
I have travelled a lot, I think 34 countries, currently looking forward to my first trip to CUBA.
I have quite a wide social network with friends all over the place, but always looking for more.
I enjoy reading, am addicted to scrabble, travelling, snorkelling, socialising, the internet. At the moment I am learning to drive so am looking forward to days out to interesting places once I have my wheels.
I need to go to the theatre and cinema more, used to go all the time but I don't know what happened.

I would like to meet honest, sincere, trustworthy, interesting people. I am not looking for "shag and go", so if that is what you want please try someone else.

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Yes I like cooking and people say I am a good cook. I can turn my hand to anything really. A nice roast beef with yorkshires, Thai curry, lasagne. I do prefer proper cooking though I wouldn't use sauce out of a bottle or buy ready made yorkshires even though my friends were recently taking the piss out of me for not doing
Shopping	Do a lot of it online these days, easier and less temptation, no heavy bags. I do like shopping when I can find what I want but sometimes I just find it annoying.
DIY	I really wish I was handy with a hammer, I try but usually ends in disaster - phone a friend time usually comes quickly. I have managed to conquer decorating though, I just paint everything white so I don't have to worry about the lines
Housework	I'd say inbetween, I am not obsessed with it but don't like living in a dump, Tend to do the housework at weekends so by friday night I wouldn't examine the floor too closely or look inside the oven.
Dining out	Now this depends on the mood, like all sorts of food - unfortunately
Movies	Like independent and forgien movies and the odd block buster. Favourite used to be the time of the Gypsies by Kustrica but saw it again recently and not so sure anymore, as I get older tastes change.
Theatre	I've seen quite a lot of the West End Musicals of the years and the odd play.
Music	I like stuff you can sing a long to, mnotown, soul, some reggae, counrty, pop, indie - all sorts really
Gigs	In the past, but not for a while
Pubs	I enjoy going to the pub with friends, usually go on a friday, I like cider, and sambuca - not in the same glass though. Enjoy a good chat and gossip with my friends
Clubbing	not these days
Newspapers and magazines	don't buy papers very often, read the free ones if I come accross them, if I do buy one is usually the Times, Telegraph and occasionally the news of the world, Tend to look at the news online.
Books	Enjoy reading but don't do it enough, at the moment I am am reading the Highway code and pass your theory test first time!!! Enjoy contempary fiction like Dan Rhodes, Maurkami, the odd chick flick and factual things
TV	I have a big one which is a bit of a waste as don't watch it that much. The apprentice, Holby city is my soap and documentaries/news
Watching sport	No I don't watch it
Playing sport	only snorkelling and sometimes swimming and walking
Hobbies	I play a lot of scrabble mostly on facebood with my friends these days, travelling is the main hobby, I could do with a few more

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	Enjoying life,having fun, in a loving relationship with someone I respect and admire, maybe living abroad (have my reservations about this country at the moment), mortgage free, fit and well.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	My best mate The Queen - would be intrigued to know what she is really like The Dali Lama - I bet he would be one of the most inspirational people you could ever meet
My ideal date	One that I didn't want to end, with someone who I felt at ease with and with whom the conversation flowed. It wouldn't really matter where it was.
What would I never, ever give up?	My cat, although she is only 7 months old and I never really particularly liked cats, I have grown very attached to her and her antics, although I was not best pleased when she put a live snail in my bed last week,
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Boring but social exclusion and how much I despise the tories at the moment.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I would like to go back to the San Blas islands off Panama, interesting people the Kuna indians and it is paradise. I would spend most of the day snorkelling. Although I would need good company as there is no electricity I would need some one to chat to after dark.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	A homeless charity, would have to be sure about exactly what the money was spent on though or set up a charity for the people living on rubbish dumps in Cambodia, maybe build them some better huts and make sure they have constant clean fresh water, move them off the dump if thats what they want, find them jobs. There are alot of things I could do with a miilion.
