Time to update my profile I think.

First of all my photo does not do me justice, I am far more handsome than the photo would suggest, written affidavits verifying the truthfulness of this statement can be obtained from Naomi Cambell, Ex Presidents Nixon and Clinton and any Press Secretary that has worked for Tony Blair, oh, and any Sun Journalist.

If the following sounds highbrow, believe me, I am not, I am just an ordinary guy with an open enquiring mind.

Transplanted from Kent the Garden of England I now abide in Derbyshire which to me is Heaven on Earth, I have traveled to many places and have yet to find anywhere that matches the shear majestic beauty of Derbyshire. In general the people are so warm hearted and welcoming and I never ceased to be amazed at their friendliness, it would be a wrench should I ever have to leave.

I like to think I have a good sense of humour, but that, like many things is subject to taste. I am told that I am a gentle person, but I can be quite tough and stand up for myself and others, I cannot stand bullies, racists, bigots or intolerant people and I am not backward in putting forward my opinion, I call a spade a spade and I am not offended if people speak the truth to me, I cannot stand loud mouths and I don’t suffer fools gladly, that said I’m generally placid and go out of my way not to offend people. I'm caring, romantic, faithful and honest (sometimes to my own detriment).

I have been stuck at the age of 21 for a number of years having drunk from the hidden fountain of youth in the North Himalayas; my intention is to never grow old gracefully.

I am very fit and enjoy walking and cycling in the country or strolling by the sea, I try to get out most weekends for gentle to medium strolls/rides to long treks if time allows. I enjoy all forms of travel and like exploring places of interest, visiting art galleries, museums, the theatre and cinema.

I enjoy quite a few differing hobbies such as Painting. Sketching, Photography, DIY etc., my musical and artistic tastes are right across the board and I try not too be narrow minded and am open to new influences.

I live on my own and I am quite comfortable in my own company, however, to have someone to share and enjoy life with would be preferable. I have a teenage daughter whom I love dearly who still lives with her mum but spends a lot of time with me.

About you

Looking for a long term friendship/ relationship, not looking for 'wham bam thank you mam'. I've had my fair share of heartbreak over the last few years so I am very cautious (if you can't be faithful dont bother contacting me, I view unfaithfulness as one of the worst sins!)
Although I like to relax, I am not a couch potato (ok, somtimes I am!) so you would need to be relatively fit.
I enjoy family life and like having children around.
