Shelagh  female  (44) from Greater Manchester Essentials member

About me

I'm a 44 year old woman living in Manchester. I spent a long time as a psychiatric nurse, but retrained and became a gardener about 8 years ago. I'm thoroughly enjoying the career change. Obviously I spend a lot of time in boots/wellies and covered in dirt. However, it's not to the point of embarassment and I do scrub up quite well !!.

I've got a dog, a really nice Greyhound, (a rescued racer) so I'm out walking with him a lot. I happiest outdoors.

I enjoy a good conversation, I'm interested in all subjects from current afairs to Coronation St !. I like it when I learn something new.

I enjoy going to the theatre, cinema, plant nurseries, coffee shops, restaurants, galleries and exhibitions, markets and antique/junk sales.

I'm quite personable and easy to be around. I've a good sense of humour and like to laugh, it's so good for you !!.

About you

I spend a lot of time on my own with my head in the shrubbery, which is fine, but I would like to make some new friends for companionship, shared activities and having a right good laugh with.

I'd be happy to meet people who have similar interests to me, but equally happy to be switched onto something new.
