Cooking	I enjoy cooking when I get the chance, traditional English, roasts etc.
Shopping	Love shopping, especially for boys-toys. Happy to accompany a woman when she's shopping in Coco de Mer(!).

Housework	Chaos ashore, obsessively tidy afloat.
Dining out	I'd eat out every day if the waistline could stand it, especially those waterside tavernas on Greek islands......
Movies	Rom coms, typically middle class English films like Weddings/Funerals, old b&w wartime propaganda/action stuff, anything with boats in them like Dead Calm!
Theatre	I have worked in Rep theatre so all sorts really, from Chekhov to Julian Slade.
Music	Truly eclectic, except can't abide jazz, I'm sure they can't hold a tune that's why they do it!
Gigs	A gig to me is a rowing boat they race in Cornwall..........
Pubs	Not a pub person, unless it has a very good reputation for food, or I'm thirsty or I need a loo.
Clubbing	Don't think I've ever been in one, well, not knowingly. I gather the (music?) they play in them is so loud you cannot converse and you leave with hearing damage?
Newspapers and magazines	All any paper is good for is to wrap fish and chips in, or in an emergency torn into small squares and hung on a nail.......
Books	Too many to discuss here, I've acres of books.
TV	Addicted. Factual, nature, previously mentioned films.
Watching sport	Hate almost all sports, except those with sailing boats in them and Wimbledon, all that grunting.......!!
Playing sport	Complete couch potato except when I'm afloat.
Hobbies	I wouldn't dare discuss my extra curricular activities in an open forum like this!

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	In ten years I expect I will be living in New Zealand having spent many of them wandering the world in my yacht, or perhaps back in this country living by the sea and planning the next voyage.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Ernest Shackleton, Lord Nelson and Ellie Harrison
My ideal date	A Pacific island, drums, dancing and a pig roast (see Mutiny on the Bounty!)
What would I never, ever give up?	Motorcycling because of the freedom and the adrenalin
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Karada Shibari and it's influence on Western culture.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Tahiti with Bligh on the Bounty. Need you ask??
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Any charity that could stop once and for all the slaughter of whales and other marine creatures.
