I am the proud Founder and Organizer of Houston AmeriCymru Welsh Meetup; and in addtion to this, I have the following interests:

crochet, celtic history, hillwaliking, architectural ornamentation, 1920's fashion, 1980's music, theology, language, song and chant, discussion of the paranormal and occult from a Christian perspective,psychology,apologetics, badminton, air hockey, spectator sports

I'm a prayerful, passionate, sensitive, lovingly tactile, and devoted woman who is part Welsh/Scottish/British; in fact 7 or 9 different nationalities in my family. I am a "citizen of the world" and have lived in many places here in the USA, and traveled over seas. My sister lives in England with her English-born husband and is very happy being a "Brit." When I think about relationships, in fact, I would not even mind falling in love with andhaving a relationship with someone even in their 60's from one of these websites, because my sister has such a marriage and feels very fulfilled with her mate!

Anyway - to get back to me, I've a seminary and also a monastic background and they have served me well in life. For 20 yearsI have been assisting with Byzantine Chant each Sunday in almost all of the parishes I have ever attended, and have a lovely reading and singing voice, which also transfers over to the singing of folk tunes and other hymns. I am a very solid and committed Eastern Orthodox Christian (Greek Archdiocese of America.) I love my faith, its Traditions, and defending the Christian Faith through use of apologetic writing.

Although I have listed "looking for friends" in my profile as to what I am "doing" (since a true friendship MUST be the solid groundwork for any relationship anyway) I have been praying for and earnestly seeking a man for quite some time now who is Caucasian and comes from a family either from the UK or Canada; who has a strong religious background, and who is or has been involved in Teaching, IT programming, Psychology/counselling, entrepreneurial work, or a similar occupation. I am the perfect match for someone widowed or divorced or perhaps even separated (for a long time) who has had children and can see that his experience is my comfort and joy, being that I am a single mom who will not be raising her children at home.


A WORD ABOUT DEVOTION: Love, to me, is almost tantamount to "worship."I am looking for someone strong yet almost mysteriously tender and intense.....a personal Soul Mate. I know that together, we can have a cosy home that will be our fortress, refuge, and delight -with or without children- as the years roll on.


I like to keep healthy and fit; these are paramount after age 40; you can read in several books now that it's not "age" so much as "decay" that people suffer from when they let themselves go. I myself follow the Blood Type Diet, and advocate it for many reasons (both to help prevent chronic illness, and help cure minor ones.) Together, we can be parners in fitness as well, and never have to worry about becoming like some of those other people out there who constantly moan that "they're not good for anything anymore." ;)
