Cooking |
Love cooking but not so motivated to be adventurous when cooking just for myself. Would love to have someone to cook and share a roast or takeaway with - yum!! Even better if you enjoy a glass of good wine to go with it :)
|
Shopping |
Hate shopping ,especially at weekends when it's busy - saturday at the mall is my idea of hell!!
|
DIY |
I do the best I can is all i can say on this one!! I have redecorated and keep up to speed with general maintenance as much as i can.
|
Housework |
A necessity but I'm not a slave to housework. I wouldn't be comfortable in a house so clean and tidy, it felt more like a showhouse than a home.
|
Dining out |
LOVE eating out or getting a take away once in a while- not fussed but it's nice to get dressed up and go somewhere special once in a while!!
|
Movies |
Not over bothered - quite happy to watch a DVD at home but am happy to go to the cinema for an exciting new release.
|
Theatre |
Love the theatre and would like to go more often.
|
Music |
Couldn't live without my music it keeps me sane. There is hardly a day when I don't have music on if I am in the house - I am not someone who sits in front of the tv.
I guess I'm still a rock chick - fave oldies include Lizzy, Floyd, Blue Oyster Cult , Queen, Seal, Genesis, Mike and the Mechanics, Paul Carrack, Crowded House, Blue Oyster Cult
I'm normally found listening to Keane, Coldplay and similar but can be diverse and listen to some classical music when my mood dictates.
Also enjoy up to date stuff and currently listen endlessly to Elbow, Snow Patrol, Keane, Razorlight and similar
|
Gigs |
A big gig fan - used to be a real rock gig chick - have mellowed a bit and will give most genres a go apart from opera - not my thing!!
|
Pubs |
Depends on the company and if I'm driving ,which I invariably am, so it is usually a glass of wine at home. Tend to meet friends at a pub for lunch , meal and catch up.
|
Clubbing |
Love to dance and boogie but clubs have never been my scene
|
Newspapers and magazines |
Weekends only unfortunately - I prefer The Telegraph as it has lots of supplements to keep me going through the week .
|
Books |
Read lots of books - my faves are psychological thrillers - James Patterson has to be my fave but anything of that genre so Kellerman, Cornwall,Slaughter etc
Favourites would include Angela's Ashes and The Lovely Bones - I have a degree in English ,so also enjoy some of the classics , including Shakespeare and love to see live productions of his plays.
|
TV |
Prefer to listen to music or be outdoors .
I do watch the news and weather and some regular faves include Location Location and similar, Antiques Roadshow, CIS and documentaries. Lately, I have been enthralled by a programme on astrology, the guy who presents it , just makes it sound so interesting and easy to understand - the sciences were not my favourites at school!
I am a self confessed Shaun the Sheep addict and have all the DVD's !!!
|
Watching sport |
Happy to watch the footie or golf - also skiing and wishing i could control those darned planks as well as they do- aggh
|
Playing sport |
Fraid not - would love to learn to play golf and take up horse riding if that counts?
|
Hobbies |
Hobbies - mmm - nothing that unusual - keep fit , gardening , meeting up with friends , the gym and swimming. Love walking and anything outdoors . I am passionate about my animals - currently have two puppies who are giving me lots of fun times as well as eating the floor and skirting boards --- aghhh
