I hate this bit. I'm an easy going lady who hates arguments or conflicts, hate moody people - say whats bothering you and move on. I love to travel and have just come back from a 3 week trip to South East Asia. My favourite place though is Greece, especially the islands. I love cooking and entertaining. I still work full time and enjoy my job ( most days!!) I have three grown up children and 3 grandchildren. I see them when I can but they have thier lives and I have mine. I have a great sense of humour so no miseries please and no emotional baggage - you have to have moved on!

I;m looking to meet like minded men who are looking for a serious relationship - maybe friends for a while and see how it goes but NO PLAYERS please .. I will suss you out quickly so dont waste my time.
Ideally you will be fairly good looking, take care of your appearance and have a pride in what you do, solvent, love of travel and just enjoying life. I'm not a sporty person but I dont mind watching sports .. football or motor racing or even horse racing but apart from walking I dont really do any sport. But .. dont let me stop you!! I can wait at the 18th hole.

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Love to cook and cook all kinds of things.. Italian, French, Greek and good old English fayre
Shopping	Love shopping - especially in foreign outdoor markets for fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese etc., I enjoy clothes shopping but then what woman doesnt? Dont even mind the weekly shop
DIY	Useless!! Find it difficult to change a light bulb.
Housework	Extremely houseproud. I worked hard for it so I take care of it. Cant stand slobs of any kind .. not in how they keep their homes or how they look.
Dining out	I like to both eat out and also cook at home for friends I dont really mind either. I like all foods and will try anything once.. extremely adventurous and have eaten all sorts of weird and wonderful things.
Movies	Never go to the movies... dont know why ... but i lived abroad for a while and we used to have open air cinema and I loved going to that.
Theatre	Like the theatre but dont go as often as I used to do. Dont really have a favourite play but if it took my fancy then I would go.
Music	I like all kinds of music.. love soul music, but it depends on the mood I am in .. I may listen to country and western or it may be light classical or jazz or even european music.. just depends.
Gigs	I love live concerts.. would go to pubs with bands if I had someone to go with! Usually go to concerts with my daughter ( she's a Killers fan and had two tickets and I wouldnt have minded that but she took her best friend!)
Pubs	Difficult this one - I like a visit to the pub for a glass of wine or a beer if I am in good company. I hate it if I go out from work and they are all downing vodka's and getting hammered! Not my scene at all.
Clubbing	Far too old.. I would look silly.
Newspapers and magazines	Dont often buy a newspaper but sometimes read them online. The Mail probably.
Books	Love reading and again like my music I have a wide taste in reading material. I love stories of people's adventures travelling, autobiographies and like most women .. a good soppy story.
TV	I like good drama programmes of which there arent enough! I have to admit that I am a Corrie and Eastenders fan... I know, I know but I dont have many other vices!. I like comedies that are easy to watch like Gavin and Stacey and I love the Discovery and Travel channels and also anything that shows cooking and food in other countries.
Watching sport	I like to watch football.. not a cricket fan or a tennis fan though. Dont mind motor racing and quite enjoy horse racing but prefer to be at the course than watch on TV.
Playing sport	I dont. the most I do is I walk along the canal path sometimes.
Hobbies	I paint watercolours.. when I get the time that is.I cook .. it relaxs me.. good job I dont eat all the food I cook.. I take it to work and they love me for ever.

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	Somewhere warm would be lovely but thats not always practical with family ties etc., but hopefully being able to travel to somewhere warm would be good.

What would I never, ever give up?	My independence
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	The joys of travel - I love new experiences and meeting new people and learning about new cultures and sharing that with others
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Singapore before it was built up .. even though its beautiful now I would have loved to have seen the Kampongs. Greece before the tourists invaded.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	I would give money to low income families. Not scroungers but those who work and never seem to get in front. Maybe some to a children's charity like Childline.
My "and finally" section ...	I'm a caring person but I dont live in cloud cuckoo land and am quite a realist. Great believer in positive thinking and getting off your bum and making things happen if you want them to .. not just talking about it.
