Cooking |
I tend to go for simple but good food e.g. steamed sea bass, runner beans, new potatoes. The more exotic I have success with - spiced lentil and coconut soup, crab and sweetcorn soup, nikujaga and ginger stuffed lychees. Chocolate covered, of course.
Shopping |
I target-shop. "One of those please, thanks, bye!" I have a pathological hatred of self-service check-outs - invented by Satan on a bad day. (Edited because I originally typed "Stan" instead of "Satan"!)
DIY |
I'm a total Fumbly Fred! Power drills are made to drill holes not quite where you want them and glue is made to stick everything except what you want.
Housework |
Argh! I'm more likely to 'hoover' your lounge than mine!
Dining out |
Indian or Thai is always good.
Movies |
I liked the Queen movie!
Theatre |
Art, opera, ballet not for me, I'm more of a Blues Band man. Well, I would be.
Music |
Now we're talking! I like a wide range but electric guitar must be included. Or bass! Not C&W though. Favourites - Gary Moore, Camel, Eric Sardinas, Aynsley Lister, Rory Gallagher. Currently though - I'm a big Greenday fan!
Gigs |
As a bassist with Petra VIVA! I'd best turn up. I sometimes do stage lighting for gigs - also work as a sound engineer.
Pubs |
A country pub for lunch always appeals as does a pub with live music.
Clubbing |
Clubbing? Never! Rubbish music. Plus I "dance" like an octopus on speed having a fit.
Newspapers and magazines |
Rarely, I tend to rely on the 'net for news. Or read paper over breakfast out.
Books |
I'm reading a lot of John Grisham lately (Sycamore Row is possibly his best known).
TV |
Not much of a TV bug, certainly not 'soaps'. But I like "Can't pay? We'll take it away".
Watching sport |
I like a game of football, but it's not going to rule my life. If my team lose, it's only a game.
Playing sport |
Sadly my enthusiasm vastly exceeded any talent I had - and that wasn't much. I like table tennis but again, I'm not much!
Hobbies |
Guitar, camping (fair weather only), The Big Outdoors, old buildings, bass guitar, flying my quadcopter (which recently crashed into my frying pan!). I'll try most things...some only once though. I have recently started volunteer work for mental health charity. Oh and if you have $20 million to launder, don't waste your time - or mine. Still here? Quote Karl Marx and I'll know you've read all my profile. Pip pip!
