I am not employed at present and am a part-time carer for my elderly Dad, however I am looking for a part-time job.
I have loads of hobbies and interests which keep me busy, they include gardening, photography, riding, swimming, crafts, watching detective programmes on TV (my favourites are Poirot and Columbo), my four cats and of course looking after the house and job-hunting.
I am also a keen eBayer and enjoying buying and selling things on there, I tend to scour the charity shops for bargains and see how much money I can make. Its never much but its a bit of fun.
I am a very organised, common sense sort of person - I enjoy the countryside and love nature and animals. I'm certainly not one for excercise though - I do swim a bit and took up horse-riding last year after a break of many years and am still recovering from a broken arm which happened when I fell off in May.
I also enjoy pub quizzes, the seaside (I hope to return there to live one day)and live entertainment.

I am looking to widen my circle of friends. I find it harder to meet people the older I get and this type of site is a good way. I have quite a few friends who have met serious partners through Internet sites but although this isn't my goal if it did happen it would be a bonus. I am primarily looking for people to either chat with via the Internet or go out and about with. Getting on well together is one of my priorities and I am looking for genuine, trustworthy friends. I enjoy the debating on MSE and the conversation.
