About me

This is where I write many interesting and witty comments about myself. Unfortunately I can't think of any at the present time, but will surely add some if any come to mind. In the meantime I have typed a few details about myself. Not a lot I know but it'll give some kind of impression. I will come back and add more later.

About me: Well here goes...I am a practical, laid back, the glass is half full kind of person, most of the time, slightly quirky. Occasionally spontaneous, quiet at first. I like to weigh people up and take my time. I'm not an extrovert or the life and soul of the party, but I hope I'm not boring either. I consider myself to be kind, caring, generous and loyal, and try to treat others as I would like to be treated.

I work in childcare. However I am looking for a change. I'm not entirely sure what, but it might involve going back to college or university. I am really interested in nutrition, psychology and NLP. I do worry about possibly being the oldest student in the class. There is also the fact I might have left things too late, but the optimist in me says, go for it. Am considering distance learning as an alternative to university, so will have to see how things work out.

Three of my six children still live at home. They are twin girls aged thirteen and my youngest daughter aged ten. My eldest daughters are aged twentyseven and twentyfive and my one and only son is twentytwo. I also have three grandsons and another on the way. Obviously family life is very important to me. I love having what these days is known as a big family, life is never dull! We also have a Cavalier King Charles puppy called Freddie. He is great company and doesn't argue over the remote control. Last but not least we have a black cat called Cinders who has a very distainful attitude towards the dog, and unfortunately us, since we got Freddie.

I love reading, not in to science fiction or fantasy books but will read pretty much anything else.

I enjoy socialising,eating out, cinema, must admit I do like going to the theatre occasionally, and love watching live music. Not in to clubbing though.

About you

I joined this site because I feel life is passing me by. Most of my friends have husbands and partners and are quite happy to stay at home. Having spent so much time looking after my family and others, I realise I need more for me. Am hoping to make new friends, like minded people who don't take themselves too seriously.
